"Some background: my family went to Boston on an extended layover to Maine in Summer of '23. I spent a day in Boston and fell in love with it. That summer, we stayed here when we were in Boston. This time, my folks treated me to a trip to Boston for Christmas '23. We stayed here again, and we had exceptional service, but 2 customer service artists (as this is what i would consider them) stood out... their names are Jose and Rafael. Jose was entertaining, but most of all, engaging. He seemed to listen, and sometimes, just sometimes, that's what it takes to create the kind of customer service that is next to impossible to even *try* and beat. Rafael was the manager that really made me feel at home. Much like Jose, he was engaging. He saw the Harvard sweatshirt I was wearing (it's my dream school, but I'm not a student) and struck up a very brief conversation about Harvard. I know the tasks these two men did seem somewhat easy (and a lot of the times anyone else will try, it is), but to me, the most challenging part of it is making the customer feel like they're in their hometown after being around 20 years away, and that's just kind of thing these men did tonight."
"I stayed here two nights. On top of the room fee I was charged $74 for parking and an additional $29 for a food voucher I never used. I was given the voucher the first night and I used it. I was never given a voucher the second night nor was it explained to me that I would be charged regardless of wether I used it or not. When I called and politely asked for a $29 refund they steadfastly refused. What a way to do business! I will go out of my way not to stay at a Marriott again."
"A beautiful hotel in a convenient location downtown. I mentioned it being our first time to the city in a decade, and they happily chatted about our plans and was able to give us an upgrade. Wonderful service, clean rooms, and an amazing stay. The staff were fantastic. Highly recommend the hotel."
"Really nice hotel. Was clean, customer service was very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint would be the vacuuming at 9am and the price of parking but that's pretty common for downtown Boston. Overall I would stay again."
