"To be addressed fully when I can say it without writing a journal article. From a Psychiatrist who needs Dr Jenikes help dearly in the past and now as I get older and my OCD symptoms worsen. They have worsened to the point where I have not been able to complete the packet of information necessary for his true examination of my OCD- a fingerprint for each individual with the affliction has. In my early years as an administrator, I could put the OCD as background noise. I was lucky enough to have insight at 6-7 years old and to use Response prevention on myself. My desire to help people and to have the ability to write copious literature and research Obsessive compulsive disorder, as well as create a foundation for comprehensive and meaningful treatment and the implementation of programs to educate other doctors through Dr Jenikes attention to what his patients were saying and his passion for teaching, has brought me to meet with this kind, well educated and centered gentleman who seemed to be, not only interested in my needs but in how he can stop this affliction that had hurt and hurts so many. My desire to model my career even to a tenth of his accomplishments has been stolen from me, not only by the increasing severity of my OCD, but never having support or the ability to admit I had the diagnosis due to the extreme stigma that is changing some But very little if you look at the way even other fields of medicine treat people with psychiatric disorders."
