"We came to fill up gas since it was closest and cheapest to us we are throughly disappointed. Card reader didn’t work when we went to pay with cash the store was closed lights where on but no one to be seen we weren’t the only ones there waiting to get cash in the end we decided to leave we are throughly disappointed with our experience and will never return."
"Gas price is one of the cheaper around, so that's a plus. Unfortunately, several of the pumps had errors when using a credit card and wouldn't work (it would say the card has been double read) and the freeze. Had to move to a third pump to get it to work. Two other people had the same issue with the same pump so it is not the card itself."
"Responding to manager: You didn't let me down. I came, I filled up the rental car tank, I left. There was only one employee, so the line was a 5-10 minute wait, but nothing unexpected or out of the ordinary. Prices were comparable or less than others in the area. It was your average, run-of-the-mill gas station experience. Thus, the 3 star average rating."
"I've been a frequent visitor to this gas station due to its incredibly strategic location. However, it's disheartening to note that every time I stop by, the station is closed, with recurring issues related to the software. The potential of this great location is overshadowed by its consistent closures. I sincerely hope the owner takes the necessary steps to address and resolve these issues soon."
"We stopped to fill up a rental car at ARCO at 5201 W Century Blvd a bit after 10:00 AM on Sunday, August 6. We chose it because it was close to our drop off and had the best prices in the area. Because we do not have a zip code (we are Canadians) we could not use a credit card at the pump and we had leftover US cash, my wife went in to pay a $60 deposit while I filled the car to a final total of $22. Because there was a line-up of cars behind me, I moved the car away from the pumps once I was full. My wife went back in to get a refund of the difference and a homeless guy came to the entrance of the store and sprayed something into the store that caused the 2 female workers to cover their faces and exit the store, then after a few minutes they returned and were spraying something inside the store. Meanwhile, my wife had walked through this unknown spray to the talk to the male worker who was at the cash and behind protective glass. She asked him for our refund and he only told her in a dismissive manner that he could not do it because I had moved the car and another car was using a credit card at the pump we used. My wife came back out to tell me about being blown off about our refund and gave me our paper receipt for the $60 and I lined up to talk to him. Once at the start of the line, he explained to me that he could not do the refund until the other car was finished (an explanation he did not offer to my wife) and he provided $32 cash back. At this point the female staff had returned to the store and my wife came in while he was counting out the refund. She asked him what do you think was sprayed by the homeless man that drove the female staff out of the store and he told her "It's none of your business". So 2 complaints. 1. Why do the female staff abandon customers in their store when a homeless man sprays something that drives them out of the store? 2. Why does ARCO tolerate a misogynistic employee to verbally abuse female customers. My wife had every right to an explanation for why he could not process our refund "at that moment", not just "can't do it" and she certainly had every right to know what he understood had been sprayed in the store that drove the 2 female employees out of the store with their hands over their faces. If there is any health issue arising over the next few days, you will certainly be hearing from us."
