Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pensacola Airport North - I-10, an IHG Hotel

"When you come into town from the west, you are going to have to make a u-turn to get to this hotel. It is obviously very common as we were at the light once, and I counted as all 10 cars that were ahead of us made a u-turn as well. The rooms are in excellent condition. They supply Dove body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion bottles to use. The elevator did go out while we were there, but it was fixed in a very short amount of time considering."

"The hotel is new and nice but the area is ruff. Stayed here with my 3 kids and husband. The queen suite was great and had a sofa bed. The beds were comfy. The shower pressure is not strong enough to get all the sand from the beach off your body. I had to request extra blankets although they already knew we had a total of 5 guests I had to constantly ask for extra towels as they only wanted to give me 2-3 daily and one of the ladies looked frustrated because I asked for more. The breakfast is processed and not very good . The hotel overall was clean .The pancakes come out of a machine and that is always breaking down . Eggs tasted watery but the bagels and oatmeal option was a good alternative. This hotel is 25 minutes from the beach and reasonably priced. There was a nice lady at the front desk who gave me pads from her own car for my daughter her started her monthly cycle."

"Under no circumstance would I stay at this hotel again. Three night stay in June, 2024. The hotel started out by double charging our room. We had a pay-on-site reservation, NOT pay in advance. We arrived early, about 3pm, presented our card, and was charged for the full stay. But the person checking us in didn't know (or care) that their morning manager had already charged our debit card for the full stay early that morning, long before we arrived. This cleaned $500 out of our checking account back home, which was completely wrong because we had already submitted full payment at check-in. When we confronted the front desk with this fact, they acted like children caught stealing and started to throw out random excuses and lies that were neither remotely true nor plausible. They were rude, condescending, and dishonest, and acted like it was our fault that they double charged us. And that's when the error was 100% theirs alone. We had to deal with their mistake for 4 days instead of just enjoying our stay, and the issue wasn't resolved until we went to see the manager at ANOTHER IHG property. That's how dysfunctional these people are. During our visit we were hung up on, and at other times told they couldn't talk to us because their "system is down". They told us on day 1 that the double charge had been reversed, when in fact, it was not reversed until after we had left the property on day 4. The hotel also advertises free hot breakfast from 630-930am daily. See the posted photos. The first day of our stay, there was no food at 815am, with an hour and 15 minutes left before breakfast close time. Cold cereal only - and with NO milk. They were out of that too. The woman serving told us "these morning rush people ate it all, so that's it. No food". Then they closed the doors to the breakfast area. Determined to get an actual breakfast at least one day, we went even earlier the second day. There was nothing but bacon...all other hot food was empty, and the cold options were lacking too. This was before 8am. I asked if there was any more food coming. "No." Multiple guests were milling around looking for food, unhappy with another day of no breakfast. When I informed the front desk, they weren't the least bit concerned, and said there was nothing they could do. This place has zero professional management. They're like fast food employees on their first day of work who can do nothing themselves, but will give you a phone number to call when they inevitably don't do even the basics of their jobs. In fairness, the room itself was acceptable, though I wonder about cleanliness. Room service didn't even bother to come by our room until the morning of the third day. We finally caught the maid in the hall and got new towels, took out our own overflowing trash can. Another weird service failure. The property was also in a very sketchy neighborhood, with transient people pushing shopping carts of their belongings down the sidewalk in front of the hotel, panhandling, and yelling at each other in the areas immediately adjacent to the pool and parking lot. This is my first bad experience ever with a Holiday Inn Express property. 2.5 star hotel with zero star service."

"Great stay while visiting friends. The breakfast included was good. the only complaint we had was the last day breakfast ran out before we could get any prior to starting our return trip. Staff was pleasant and professional! The location is off of I-10 but is only accessible by one side of the road due to a median. Will recommend to others visiting Pensacola!"

"I didn't realize this was a new hotel when I booked, but I'm glad I did book. Just a quick getaway from New Orleans. The staff was great and welcoming. I wish I would have gotten their names, but it was a guy who checked me in on 6/8 and a lady with glass on my departure 6/10 room 419 (check changes). My only downer was the morning on 6/9 I came down to breakfast about 30/45 mins to 9 and the lady said they weren't making anymore hot food. It was scraps and could've been removed. IMO no one was going to eat that. The next morning, I made sure to wake up earlier and it was decent. Water pressure was good, room was clean, and not to far away from the beach. I will be back!!"
