"I DO NOT recommend ERA. To sum it up they’re crooks, will ignore your calls and messages, when you do get a person they’re rude and snarky, don’t know who’s job is to do what, we didn’t have working toilets for over a week due to them not having septic pumped before move in, Dead cockroaches all over floor the day we moved in, try to point blame on current tenants for previous “shotty work”, do not abide by their own lease agreements in regards to security deposits timely return, CHARGE YOU A $200 inspection fee when you move out (not in the lease but says it is but has not responded to what section it states it). This company is terrible. This was a one year stop for us before our home purchase and thank goodness I will never, ever have to deal with any company like ERA. The only two ladies I spoke with, Lacey and Lori, are rude. So very, very rude. The only pleasant person I spoke to was the gentleman I turned my keys into at the Garden Street location. Run run fast away from this company. If anyone asks me about rentals or speaks about rentals I will make sure to steer them clear of this crooked and rude company."
"Lori Menke helped my husband and I purchase our first home in Pensacola - wonderful service! Being a military family, it's always stressful relocating, however Lori and her team helped us through every step. When we moved away, we leased our house through ERA Legacy Property Management. The company also referred us to an agent where we were being stationed! Highly recommend using ERA Legacy Realty!"
"Completely unprofessional. Everyone I spoke to at this center and the other one, everyone was pleasant except for Lacey Canaan. She was rude, sarcastic, and not empathetic to the fact we called everyday because our AC went out. We lived in 89-90° temperatures for about three weeks. She would ignore emails. When asked if we could do month to month rent she didn’t get back to me until a month later to see if the owner was okay with that (which he was) we already found a place in that time frame. She tried to make us move out a month early because she didn’t catch the document stating we paid month to month once after the end of our last lease. Did she apologize when this mistake was pointed out? No, she pushed the blame on “whoever entered this information”. I will never let any friend or family rent through Era legacy again. Did not return an itemized bill after 30 days then a week after that they added an additional $2500 bill but again ,just bill not itemized. We hired a lawyer and the owner of the house fired Era Legacy due to Lacey doing a terrible job. I don’t know if customer service isn’t important to this company, or if Lacey just hates her job. I have a very very large family. I assure you none of them will rent or buy from this company for as long as Lacey works there. Any friend that asks about renting or buying houses, I tell them to avoid Era Legacy at all costs. We are now facing 6k in bills (this time it was itemized but included roof inspections and other issues that says on our lease that is not the tenants responsibility) if I knew how to post screen shots I would. Lacey does not care about her customers. She does not try to help us. She acts as if we are a huge inconvenience. She does not apologize when at fault and just over all has poor communication skills."
"I had a terribly negative experience with Lori Menke the senior real estate agent at ERA Legacy. (*note the positive Google review from someone with the same last name*). We closed this week on our house in Pensacola, and I was represented by Brent Hough with Coldwell Banker (very positive experience with him). The buyers of our home, however, were represented by Lori Menke with ERA Legacy. From the start, we had problems with the timeliness and clearness of our communication with her. I’ve bought and sold 4 homes now, and can easily say that my negotiation experience with Lori was the most unprofessional and difficult of all of them. Several times through the negotiation process, we almost walked away from the deal because of our frustrations. After closing, I attempted to pay a previously agreed upon repair fee and wire the funds to the buyer, but had some difficulties with the ERA convoluted wiring instructions. USAA (my bank) was even confused by the multiple company names and routing numbers, resulting in my wire being returned. When I called ERA Legacy to attempt to rectify the situation and pay her the funds, Lori became the most vile, disrespectful and unprofessional agent I have ever spoken with. As a Commanding Officer in the Navy, I know a little something about leadership. If Lori is the leader at ERA Legacy, I know this unprofessional attitude can be rampant throughout her company. I have spoken with USAA about the situation, as I know ERA Legacy is in their “network”, and am relaying our negative experience to them to prevent any of my fellow service members from having to deal with this kind of disrespect. Don’t accept mediocrity!"
"This review concerns the Property Management service of ERA Legacy. I have not used their buying/selling service so I cannot comment on that. If you are looking for a hands on property manager that will take care of your place like it was their own then this is not the company for you! Our new home was rented for a year under ERA Legacy's management. It wasn't too bad while it was rented. we got a couple of calls that I feel like they should have screened for us, but not terrible at all. The real trouble began when our tenants notified us that they would be moving out. We trusted that the staff would get our place listed, provide us pricing guidance, and ensure that the home was turned over in acceptable condition. What we got was a few emails here and there about people interested and then no follow up. I would have to write back constantly and ask what was going on. I would get half answers or no answers. I would have to tell the staff to call potential tenants instead of sending them an email. Living overseas and being 7 hrs ahead it was very hard to stay on top of them. After 3 months of the house sitting empty during prime rental months April-June, we fired them. Within two days our new company had photos of our house which showed the dirty walls that needed new paint, the out of control yard that needed mowed, bushes needing trimmed, completely soiled carpets that needed cleaned and the broken off microwave handle that needed replaced. Now how did the previous tenant escape with all of their security deposit money? There were things broken, carpets that had not been cleaned (required in the lease), and walls that needed repainted because of neglect? Because the staff did not do one of the most basic things expected of a property manager...perform a walk through with the previous tenant! It's either that or they are so unprofessional that they missed all of the damage. In either case, it speaks to their general lack of professionalism and disorganization. We could never in good conscience recommend this company for property management to anyone. They would have to prove that they have made serious structural and procedural changes to deserve a second chance."
