"Get ready to have your family information twisted and spread around and to suffer from libel. TLC loves to gossip and if they can’t spread the truth they will make up something juicy about you and your family and tell it far and wide. Instead of examining what they did wrong they claim your examination of the situation means you are lying (management was not there to see the blatantly obvious problem), they cut you off when you are speaking and call you a “young lady” at your age of 49 to patronize you when you speak to them about the problem. They even challenge you on your religious beliefs in front of your dying family member and make you explain them as if they need to approve your religious beliefs. Their response to a person dying on their death bed is to pop on the TV. They are coarse and without manners or discretion. Even management feels it is appropriate customer service to lecture family members on manners, which is not in the book of manners to do. (See Emily Post’s textbook on manners.) They don’t even know that when a customer calls with a problem with TLC and says the word “you”, that “you” refers to TLC. They take it personally and then turn on the customer, lecturing the customer on manners. They have yet to figure out that each employee represents the entire company. I have been in customer service for twenty years with consistent high marks. They are a nasty nasty nasty backstabbing self righteous company. Dealing with them is like poking a stick into wormy poo and thinking anything good will come of it. They believe that doing whatever they have been doing for 40 years entitles them to do whatever they want. I don’t know how bad their competition would have to be to decide to use this company, but it would have to be extremely bad. If they had a modicum of sense, they would have avoided turning on a family member when they called to explain a problem. I don’t care what they think of me although they verbally abused me as if I do. They treated me like turds when my mother was dying. They broke up my family with their false gossip. There are other companies that provide home care. Give them a call first, not this one."

"TLC has been a saving grace for my mom and dad. They supply the caregivers that show up timely and are very pleasant as they perform their various tasks. My mom has Dementia and my dad's health causes him to have little stamina, so dependable, consistent help is crucial for their care and house maintenance. As the daughter living out of town, I have peace of mind knowing that I never have to worry if they will have people to help them that have been trained to their needs.
