Studer Family Children's Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart

"We brought my 3M old daughter here & she stayed for 4 days. In those 4 days she became a baby I didn’t even recognize . She is now happy & healthy & I couldn’t thank the staff more. Her nurses were amazing & very attentive & the cleaning crew was great.The only complaint I have is that your answering staff needs work. I called one night to check on my daughter and the man who answered told me she was NOT a patient there which is very alarming . I called 3 times and that was the answer I got after giving the spelling of her name and date of birth. Me and my husband were about to pack our toddler up and head there at 2 am. The fourth time I called a man named Alex answered and transferred me over to my daughter’s nurse . But in regards to the doctors and nurses we had great care"

"We came in and my daughter had tonsillitis. The doctor there said “oh these are classic symptoms of the flu” and barely checked her throat. He tested for flu and strep both negative and sent us home saying it was just the flu. Overnight, her throat swelled to an emergency level and I had to take her to a walk in clinic for a different opinion. They diagnosed her with tonsiltis and gave her antibiotics which started helping quickly. The new pediatric doctors do not evaluate thorough enough. I called to leave a message to the manager on how I wasted time/money/effort/energy on the hospital visit since he didn’t thoroughly evaluate her. She never called back. Apparently management is lacking here too."

"Awful and rude! They need a lesson on hospitality. The front desk woman literally rolled her eyes at me when I asked which desk. My child has a virus they say and I said well I figured itd be best to come get checked out. The check out nurse said who told you to come? What do you mean I came as a concerned PARENT about my child. I will highly recommend going ELSEWHERE."

"My 13 year old was transferred to this hospital from the stand a lone hospital on nine mile. They treated her very well given the circumstances of why we were there. Her nurses were very helpful during this time and did everything they could to make her smile and laugh and lighten the mood in general. This is by far the best experience I’ve had at any hospital. I want to send a special thank you to nurse Brandon on the 4th floor. He was the first person she saw when we got there early Friday morning and interacted with and he went out of his way to make her smile everytime he came in the room."

"We came in with our 6 month old that had been diagnosed with RSV. The staff at the ER got her in quickly, took excellent care of her and were so friendly. Couldn't have asked for a better ER staff than the one we got last night. Thank you for taking care of our baby!"
