"Be aware of payment fraud. They gave me an estimate and I paid a fee at arrival. After 2 months, they automatically charged my credit card $850 without any warning. The insurance had problems with how apple counseling coded the claim and instead of fixing it, they just charged me and never tried to fix the issue with my insurance. I spent 6-8 months trying to fix the issue and was constantly pushed aside. I finally just gave up. Don’t ever use this company! Be aware"
"This company bought Apple and terminated our counselor without even informing us before our appointment. Our counselor was working on some sort of national cert they required and she was supposed to stay but without notice, we had no counselor and no alternative was offered. An Autistic kid who took several weeks to build trust has to start over. Thanks for nothing, Lifestance. I do not recommend you at all because continuity of care and communication with your patients means nothing to you. This isn't a dress fitting here, it's a kid's mental health."
"Run... They want credit card at time of booking before you get appointment. BUT take ins. and BCBS. Good Luck everyone. Seems fishy. want credit or debit card on file at first phone call! Appears to be 3rd party scheduler. Google refers to Apple website then phone calls refer to another websote."
"My husband had a good experience with his first counselor, and we had a nice experience with the one we saw together. Unfortunately, scheduling was an issue. At least three times, we showed up only to find we’d been improperly scheduled and made the trip for no reason. Our final straw occurred when one such instance was not only inconvenient, but whoever was behind the desk - head counselor? office manager? - opted to add insult to injury and charge us for a missed appointment from weeks prior from our toddler being hospitalized with the flu. He made it very clear that he enjoyed every moment of doing so, despite having been present for the whole scheduling conflict that occurred. Of course we paid our balance because it was true that we’d canceled in under 24 hours notice, and that was our last “visit” (someone else had been scheduled at the same time, so we were not seen). They also opted to hike up the rate randomly by more than double unless we changed counselors. We paid the higher rate for a few sessions until scheduling & jerk staff intervened. We won’t return primarily because of the rude and smug staff. If I were purely rating our counselor, it would be higher. Unfortunately he is not the only person you have to interact with at this business."
"While the location can be a tiny bit tricky to find the first time, the staff makes sure to tell you how to find it. When I first emailed them about their services, I heard back quickly from the director herself. She encouraged me to call and I did. She was kind and helpful. She worked with me to find a counselor within a price range I can afford. When I walked in for my first appointment the gentleman that greeted me was very friendly and welcoming. I felt valued. My counselor is great. I don't know how she got me to open up so easily but she did. I'm excited for my next appointment. I would absolutely recommend family tree counseling to everyone. It's something we all can benefit from."
