"My experiences with Dr. Coronado have been amazing. She performed my hysterectomy earlier this year and I should have done it years ago. I feel so much better, downtime was minimal and her bedside manner was amazing through it all. Highly recommend!"
"First of all, I was scheduled for a mammogram first then a women's wellness exam to follow. While scheduling the appointment with Dr. Coronado, the lady at the front desk sold me as in convinced me to go with Catherine Nipper said she was so great. Well she is not great at time management. After being blasted all week to confirm the appointment which I did, the night before the mammogram I received a text stating I need to find another Radiology place for the mammo as it is no longer offered.. My first thoughts were "Wow! What? That's weird..What happened & what an inconvenience." I ended up calling at 8:00 a.m. The next day after receiving the text, the day of the scheduled mammogram and asked what that text was all about. The woman that answered the phone snapped at me and said "Well I don't know what else I can tell you, she quit ok?!!" I responded with well. That would be the reason then. The way she snapped at me was as if I had been badgering her or had gotten in some previous argument with her or something strange. Keep in mind this is within less than 24 hours of the appointment. I'm on a tight schedule. I have two surgeries I'm planning in between all of this and why on Earth do 50,000 patients all depend on one single person's word on reporting to work??? You've got this high-powered expensive machinery & equipment, but yet only one person has the knowledge or capabilities to use it? To me, right there, this office is not set up for success for the patients. Being set up for success would mean having more than one person to prevent an unforseen disaster such as this. Next, they sent me a text while driving on the way and as soon as I walked in the door first question was "What doctor?" "Did u finish the text?" I watched at least five women after me repeat the same answer, No but I can I still do it now? Why don't you send the text earlier, rather than when you know for certain the patient is driving there? I then proceeded to sit there for over an hour and my name was NEVER called even though I intermittently went & asked the lady, "Am I still in line, did she forget about me, they're still coming right?" I ended up waiting an hour watching people come and go. My patience was worn extremely thin by this point where I was forced to endure an office singing party with blasting speakers- a big black boombox sitting right behind the desk blasting songs from Rihanna talking about "Boy Can you get it up?" Then it was like a loud rap battle between the 3 of the four women at the front desk as they loudly sang along to the black eyed peas "boom boom pow" song. To be clear, the one lady that was not wildly singing & loudly laughing was the third from left, (patients view) lady that sat third on the counter just before the desk curves back to the inside of the office .When patients come to a medical office, they are there for medical issues which often times could be scary or sad. You don't know what the patient is enduring or has been through or is about to face. You've got to read the room. I understand having color & personality & actually greatly appreciate that, however, a medical office in my opinion is not the right place to be blasting dance party or Friday night music like that in the waiting room. I am extremely displeased as I used sick time and had to share my schedule with our mobile support person to cover me which involves two companies. I used sick time and I even sacrificed my lunch hour as a courtesy to take a shower prior to my arrival. All of that was a colossal waste of time and I did not even receive a sincere apology at the bare minimum. If you are face front forward, representing a company or doctor, sincerity and empathy towards patients should really be considered. I was not seen today by Catherine Nipper, nor anyone else. I get to reschedule now, gee thanks!"
"This provider is NOT highly recommended because the office denied my request for a certified American Sign Language Interpreter for my medical appointment as a new Deaf Patient after I was given my first appointment. This is clearly mandated by Americans with Disabilities Act to ensure my communication access. I was dismissed by them as they claimed it was due to undue hardship on this provider. This is my true as there is more than one doctor in the same facility. I was very upset and angry that my right was violated by this provider for their unprofessional & unethical conduct as they sent my referral back to my Primary Care Physician and advised my PCP's office to refer me to another Gynecologist without my knowledge nor my consent. So I ended up being referred to another provider, who was very glad to provide me with a reasonable accommodation without a hesitation."
"** DO NOT RECOMMEND ** Be aware !! I visited Dr.Coronado on 02/20 to explore options for Firbroids treatment. She said she needed to do a biopsy, when I asked if it's going to be painful she said not at all. But it was super painful. After biopsy was done I asked the Dr. to give me options for treatment - She said what do you want to do ? That Q surprised me as I'm not a doctor (that Q spoke volumes about the doctor). I asked what would you recommend, she said here are the options - 1) removing the ovary 2) invasive robotic surgery 3) cleaning the uterus lining (which doesn't fix the problem) 4) insert IDF(or IDU) to control menstrual bleeding Dr was constantly pushing on removing ovary and I was pushing on alternate options. Through out this conversation Dr.Coronado clearly portrayed - 1) lack of empathy 2) crazy bedside manners 3) side talk as the patient explains the problem 4) Most importantly asking the patient what to do before presenting treatment options. 5) ?? on her skills /expertise On my way out I booked an appt with another obgyn and certainly would never go back to her. I would NOT RECOMMEND Dr.Coronoado due to above stated reasons."
