"In December 2019 Dr. Christensen performed a total replacement of my right knee. At the time I struggled to walk 1/4 mile. At almost 66 my knee now feels better than it did in my early 40's. Dr. Christensen is a very personable man, I always enjoy my visits with him. Even though he may be seeing a number of patients on the same day he never gives the impression of being rushed or not able to take as much time as needed to answer any questions and explain his findings and recommendations. Having seen how TKR surgery is performed, that rapport was key in helping me to feel relaxed knowing he'd be cutting into my leg and trimming the ends of my femur and tibia like so much lumber. I was initially concerned that it would be an outpatient procedure, Dr. Christensen and the Anesthesiologist put me at ease by pointing out I was the only surgery patient that day, their sole concern for the entire morning, not one of a half dozen such as might be the case elsewhere. Most of my followup appointments were cancelled due to COVID, but I was assured I could be seen if there were any problems (there weren't). My recent visit was simply because I hadn't been seen since 3 months after surgery and I felt Dr. Christensen should see the progress and know all was well; he seemed genuinely pleased with the visit, as was I."
