"Besides being late to our appointment, Andreas from Bouklis Group scheduled various people for our viewing time. He did not have an interest in talking to us directly, or telling us about the unit during the appointment. He only spoke to a female potential renter of caucasian descent. He seemed bothered by our simple questions like, "where should we email the application?" or "what is the process of applying?", as if he did not want us to have the apartment. It was strange, we asked the question, and he spoke to the other woman attending the viewing, as if she asked it. He rushed the appointment, forgot to show the apartments bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs (two floor apt.). The entire appointment felt uncomfortable and not welcoming. We were very excited to see the unit otherwise. The unit was worth seeing, but Andreas was rude and made us feel different."

"No landlord would want to work with Frank Bouklis/Bouklis Group! He won't show up for potential tenants, and will risk your property to theft and your neighbor's security! I had scheduled a viewing with Frank Bouklis to view an apartment in Astoria. He was extremely unprofessional, LAZY and RUDE! He didn't even show up to our appointment. I arrived 15 minutes earlier, so when I called him to let him know, he gave me the door code to enter the building and left the unit unlocked. He also left the keys on the kitchen counter for anyone to take. I asked him if he was going to show up at some point so we could ask him questions about the unit/bldg, and he said "No, just email me your questions. Text me your email." Since we had already been in communication over email I told him he already had it. He responded in a condescending tone, "Just text it to me. I'm driving." We could have waited for him to come but it seems like he had already planned to not show up because he was outright lazy (it was only 5:30pm - other agents will stick around even as late as 9pm for viewings!)."

"Do not work with Shah. During the entire process of applying for an apartment and then finalizing the lease, he lacked clear and timely communication and was dismissive to our concerns-- causing unnecessary stress and frustration. Shah represented the unit we were looking at as rent stabilized and continuously affirmed that it was each time we questioned it. However, our lease is up and we are only finding out that the unit is not rent stabilized. Shah did not conduct due diligence into looking at the details of our unit and the Bouklis Group essentially permitted him to defraud us-- when we were signing our lease, they requested an exceptionally increased amount of a broker's fee ON THE PREMISE of this being a rent stabilized unit. We cannot attest to the individual quality of the rest of the staff at the Bouklis group, but Shah was the worst broker we have had to work within our renting history across three states. Additionally, because his supervisors permitted him to misrepresent our unit to us and scam us to earn a larger broker's fee, we strongly discourage others for using them."
