"This park is abandoned. It might be a little dangerous to go alone there. But the pond has its ecosystem."
"Lovely little section of nature here, but Google doesn't lead you to the right entrance so be careful! I entered from Manton and found a trail, but it very quickly became overgrown and impassible so it's likely that other trails further in will also be the same. A machete would do wonders for this place! It seems from other comments that the better entrance is on Hanover, so I'll definitely try that next time I visit. This little watering hole is refreshingly teeming with life, and was worth the trip even if partially impassible! Edit: I tried the entrance on Hanover, and I take it back, this park is picturesquely verdant AND physically passable if you enter at the right place! You can still enter at Manton if you're not afraid of slight inclines though! I especially love the little dock area, it would be a great spot for a meditation, picnic date, or smoke depending on why you love to visit nature! I do see some trash here like other comments have said which is unfortunate (and I may return to remove it) but it's not such an excessive amount that it takes you out of the scenery. If anything, just give this forgotten little park a visit. You'll love it so much that the next time you visit, you too may take up a trash bag to keep it clean!"
"Not much here — a few watering holes connected. It’s off the beaten path . A lot of garbage litters the pathways… beer cans , bottles food containers etc. About a dozen ducks but very little wildlife nearby. Paths are loaded with thorny brush and some of them are mud/ water soaked . Wear waterproof shoes if u visit but really not much to see here at all"
"Use the entrance near the compost bins, not the steps to the left and behind the large dumpster. That area is really cool - but many many overgrown vines. There's other entries as well. But the one on Hanover has pathway to an observation deck."
"Eibs Pond Park is a truly incredible wetland. The diversity in vegetation, elevation and proximity to the pond makes it a birding paradise as there are plenty of locations to observe from. According to the neighborhood anglers the fishing is decent. I have spotted bass and pumpkin seeds in the water. I have also spotted Deer, Cicadas, a Tiger swallowtail butterfly and lots of turtles. Now, some to the trails are a slopped and overgrown and that makes them difficult to navigate. Be that as it may, I find Eibs to be a magically lively park in an urban area."
