Queens Public Library at East Elmhurst

"Worst library out of all Queen's libraries. They have the most disrespectful staff who don't have any empathy for adults AND children. Children are human too so they mistakes and have yet to learn. The manager has an unacceptable attitude which is a disadvantage in a learning environment."

"The library is nice, it has good books also. The turtles are a nice add on. The only reason I wouldn’t recommend this library is that it doesn’t have friendly staff. Once my son had to get a new card because his last one was lost. It cost $2 and the staff said he can read for one hour and the price would be paid. My son read for one hour then later looked at the turtles. Even though he read one hour the staff said that he didn’t read and he was at the turtle center the whole time."

"The key services are shut down 15 minutes before their hours of operation end. Walked far for nothing. They should update their hours! They don't have bike stands or allow bikes or alternative forms of transportation inside. They only help/support those who walk or travel by vehicle."

"Absolutely stunning! Recently renovated. It looks brand new, like a resort lobby! Everybody there is friendly and they treat you with respect, very polite. Unlike other public offices like Social, IRS that they treat you like an animal, here in the Library they treat you like a human being!"
