"I remembered when I first began attending college straight from High School. I was in my 2nd year when I did not have enough money to register for my classes. I needed 25 cents. The young lady at the time told me that I could not register because I was 25 cents short. I had my young nephew with me at the time. I had to drive all the way back to Brooklyn to get that 25 cents to return to the college to complete my registration. I did not mind because I eventually graduated from there and was thankful to Ed Koch at the time who encouraged the West Indians at the college to "come work for the City" when he visited the college back then. It was the best time of my life to work for the City of New York. Thank you York College!"
"On my field trip to York College on October 27, 2023, I experienced a positive environment where both the doctors and the school showcased their excellence. The doctors provided valuable insights and expertise, creating an enriching learning experience. The school's facilities and staff contributed to a favorable impression, reflecting a commitment to education and student well-being. To respect privacy, I wisely chose to blur the students in any visual documentation, maintaining their confidentiality. This thoughtful consideration demonstrates your awareness of privacy norms and a responsible approach to sharing your field trip experiences. Overall, the trip to York College seems to have been a well-rounded and positive experience."
"York College is definitely an unforgettable and exciting experience! I am very glad that I decided to study here. The first thing I wanted to mention is the high level of education. The second is that for the duration of my studies I could feel like everyone else and no one looked at me like a beast because of my skin color. Colleges in America offer a wide range of programs and majors, which allows each student to find something that really interests him/her. Teachers are often experts in their fields and real professionals, ready to share their knowledge and experience with students. Special thanks to the guys I have come all this way with."
"It's in a rough area, but up and coming. This school has so much potential and the diversity in students and faculty is unmatched! I've attended Queens college but York is 10x better in terms of help from staff and more 1 on 1 meetings. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the school is underfunded and lacks the amenities that would take this college to the next level. If your major is Phys Ed nursing, or movement and health science I highly recommend this school over Queens, and BK college."
"Lovely campus and easily seen from the street. The school is close to public transportation. The campus houses a high school and an elementary school. The grounds can use some work and some more public art installations. The cemetery is gated but plenty of history ardorns the head stones. The indoor exhibit of The Tuskegee Airmen is worth visiting the campus. The stundent art galley is the best. Ask security for accessibility for people with disabilities. Security at the gate will ask of I. D. He is very pleasant and awesome with directions. Most staff/faculty are helpful too. Better to get assistance from the more experienced staff. They are quite knowledgeable. The food is pricey for college life, but the chicken Marsalis, peas & rice, Mac & cheese and green beans with show string beans cut carrots was a tasty pleasant delight. The logistics of the buildings are identified in letter quadrants to help navigate your way through the buildings. For example 1B 106 would be on the 1st floor in the "B" section. The Art department is quite amazing."
