"One of my favorite transfer points in New York City. If I am travelling from Brooklyn to Staten Island, or honestly sometimes even from Manhattan to Staten Island, depending on what the ferry flow is like sometimes it's better or makes more sense for me to hope on the S79-Selcet Bus Service. This is a select stop line that starts on 4th Ave and 86th St and travels over the Verazanno Bridge into Staten Island, travels down Hylan Blvd to Richmond Avenue, turns onto Richmond, and the travels northbound on Richmond Ave through Eltingville Transit Center and then to the Staten Island Mall. I like to transfer here at this stop and if I need to catch the Staten Island Railway train (which I usually do), I walk to Old Town and hop on, which is what makes it my fabor transfer points."
