LGA FREE Cell Phone waiting Lot

"Tight and crowded. Each time I've been here the lot's 94 spots have been over filled and double parked with car service, ride shares and trade vehicles. Each time I've had to leave the lot and find a way to street park on 95th. While street parking seems legal it's also dangerous for yokels like me who don't live in and are not familiar with "parking culture" in Queens. I have noticed, thankfully, that most drivers and buses are forgiving of us non-locals. Getting from the Cell Lot back to LGA was simple enough and since we were using Southwest is was a breeze to get into the airport, collect my Bride and get back to Grand Central. Be aware some turning lights, especially when heading back to the terminal, are far enough off to the side that you may have to lean forward to see them. Of course, the locals, and regular commuters, are more than generous when helping the rest of us to make notice of the less visible traffic signals. :-) In any case, try the Cell Lot but also be flexible enough to seek street parking."

"Don't know what happened in the last 6 months? This place was great! I remember when security would drive through and tell all of the taxis to get out. Now, the place is overrun with taxis and T.L.C.'s!!!! Totally ruined. This city just keeps destroying everything that was once good. New York is disgusting."

"What was once a wonderfully convenient cell phone lot, super close to the terminals with a bathroom and hassle free parking, has been overrun by rideshare vehicles and black cabs. Such a shame but pretty much par for the course in NYC. All good things get ruined. Basically 95% full of large Uber XL vehicles just hanging out, having picnics, etc., they aren’t waiting for calls. there is no longer any enforcement or consequences. Too bad, used to be the perfect place to wait for family and friends who were about to land. Arrive at your own risk."

"LGA offers no closer parking, and certainly not curbside at the terminals, which means that you’d have to idle roadside with a thousand liveries on the approach to LGA. That is why this free lot is helpful for awaiting arrivals or departures. The lot offers a port-a-potty and good cellular reception. It is directly next to a hotel."

"If your looking for a spot for a few before 7am i found Walgreens if you come straight down 94th street (not te side of free cell lot with gates) but the other side of the lot i guess. Its on the corner with BUTTS REAL ESTATE . Fly safe! My the angles carry the wings for safe travels. Fyi-(Southwest airlines has great deals to buy monthly fly passes!!! )"
