"Crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and gooey cheese define the perfect pizza at Luigi's. Fresh toppings and a harmonious blend of flavors make every bite a delightful experience. Highly recommended!"
"A hidden gem!! Debated gate keeping this but it has to be shared: had some delicious tacos on their Tuesday taco deal - $7 for 3 tacos?! Can’t beat it. And they were SO GOOD - not just the scraps you normally get on some Tuesday at other taco places with deals like this. The tacos were stuffed and it was clear care was put into them. The ingredients taste super fresh and the menu is curated perfectly. I’ve tried a lot of tacos and these were so yummy!! Also ordered the salsa and chips & churros as well. The sauces are tasty and the chips have a nice crunch to them. The churros are perfect - crispy on the outside and that nice chewy texture on the inside. Watermelon lemonade was refreshing and we the guac was delicious! The lady, I think her name was May, was so so sweet and genuinely seemed so excited about her food. This place deserves so much more attention for their quality food and service + affordable prices!! Will be back for sure as I’ll probably be thinking about it all week."
"This small Mexican fusion (with Asian influence) spot is still in their soft opening stage. The restaurant is small and slightly above street level. You go up a small set of stairs to get inside the restaurant so it’s not really accessible for wheelchairs and strollers. Inside there are a few small tables, some counter seating by the window overlooking the street and a kiosk to order from. I think they mainly do take out business but I thought the décor inside was bright and lovely making it a good place to eat your lunch. I ordered the Build Your Own Super Bowl ($13) which comes with 1 protein, 3 toppings and your choice of topping sauce (8 to choose from). For this, I got cilantro lime rice, adobo chicken, fried fish (extra $3), pickled daikon, mango salsa, crispy shallots, and Bourbon BBQ sauce. It was a good size bowl and very filling. I didn’t really taste the adobo marinate in the adobo chicken, but I think it was because the Bourbon BBQ sauce kind of overpowered it. Next time, I would probably ask for the sauce on the side. The fried fish were thin strips of breaded white fish (not sure what kind). Overall, a good solid rice bowl. I also got an order of their Guacamole ($3.95) and Chips ($2.50). I really enjoyed their Guacamole, it was more on the mild side but can be ramped up with the bottles of spicy sauce at the table and the chips were freshly made to order. The owner was so friendly, and she let me know that the menu is still being refined. She let me try 3 different sauces (Ghost Spicy Premium, Chipotle Apple Vinaigrette and Spicy Mayo Garlic) to get my opinion. She even gave me complimentary Watermelon Lemonade to try. It was so good! Sometimes I find lemonades to be too tart, but this was a perfect blend with the watermelon juice. So very refreshing and was much needed after trying some of their spicier sauces. The Ghost Spicy Premium wasn’t too spicy at first but in combination with the Spicy Mayo Garlic sauce I felt the heat in the end. The owner also told me about Taco Tuesday which is $7 for three tacos! What a bargain for this area (and most of Manhattan). Will definitely try to come back on a Tuesday to try their tacos."
"La Cocina Fantasma recently grand opened, and as a foodie, it’s the perfect time to try out new food! I order their Holy Moly Burger and Build Your Own Bowl (Super Bowl). I have to say the burger is one of the best I’ve ever had! Their bourbon short ribs have been marinated perfectly. Not to mention the portion size is huge enough for 2 servings. It’s very filling! As for the Super Bowl, there are plenty of meat/veggies, toppings and sauces to choose from. In my opinion, the BBQ sauce is amazing, but it is a bit tangy when mixed with their cilantro lime rice. Overall, it’s very appetizing!"
