"It’s a local gem. Definitely underrated Indian restaurant. The food and service is in great shape! I had take out first recommended by my bf. It was memorable then we went there in person. We ordered bunch of food. They all great! Go try it out."
"Rude bar staff. Food is subpar as well. I’m a local, been going here for years, but ducked in during a rainstorm with my 9 year old and immediately told that kids weren’t allowed at a bar table. Not the bar obviously. Won’t be back. Embarrassed that is what a local staple has devolved to. Not for nothing, there were three people in the restaurant. I get it, if that’s the rule but the bar tender was rude. Could have been managed better. Jeremy should get rid of this guy — Pablo. Also, as long as kids don’t consume alcohol they can sit at a table in a restaurant in NYC per the current laws and regulations as I understand them. Obviously, the establishment owners can set their own rules, which they are free to do and can only assume they’ve done in this case."
"Worst food I have tried in NY City. Its not indian. The chicken tikka masala tastes like anything but it, the dhal has more beans than lentils."
"WORST Indian food in New York. They don't know how to cook chat, Rogan josh or Aloo paratha. The sauce seemed very stale. The chef needs to learn first. Whatever he cooked, is not Indian food. All the dishes were sweet, not spicy. The plates and utensils looked very dirty. I told them to wash again but they still looked like those were made in the 1980s. The server was very unprofessional and acted like he is working in a Dhaba, no manners. The bill was hand written like a local desi hotel. I've never seen these bills in NY. It looked like they made up a number to adjust the tax and bills. Very weird experience. Please stay away with a 10 feet limbo pole from this place."
"A community staple serving authentic Indian Food. The dishes were made to perfection. The poori with cheese could have been larger and more flavorful among with the other bread selections. Service was attentive and employees wore masks. Fair pricing for dinner for two. Definitely recommend Kismat if you’re in Northern Manhattan."
