"The food was very good. The rice, cabbage, and fish was flavorful. The ambience is also very nice. My reasons for the 4 stars instead of 5- the quantity of food is less than I am use to especially African restaurants. The fish was pretty small for a dish that is pretty much $30. Beyond pouring water and bringing the food there is no further interaction or inquiry by the cashier/server. Regardless of those things I will definitely return. Returned August 1th: Just as before, the food was very good. I don’t realize that there is a plate where you can order an entire Bronzino fish if I want more fish. Beyond that I enjoyed the couscous made from cassava which I mixed with the pickled salad that I had. The plantains were cutting nice bite-size pieces and the pepper sauce added a nice flavorful kick to the fish. I ordered the tiramisu for dessert. It was OK but next time I’ll try the red velvet."

"My new favorite West African restaurant in Harlem. I came here not knowing what to expect, but was extremely satisfied with the quality of food, the kindness of the owner, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s a newer restaurant and things are still being figured out, so definitely cut them some slack as they start to add more options to their menu. Also shoutout to the jollof rice, it’s the best I’ve had so far."

"Stopped by this new restaurant not knowing what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Right away you’ll see the place is thoughtfully furnished and decorated, and the staff are all in uniform and very nice. They only had a limited “soft opening” menu and the only African dish I noticed was the Jolof rice which was delicious, as other reviewers have said. I was drawn in by the prospect of African food but was surprised to also see on the menu things like avocado toast, steak and eggs, salmon, Caesar salad, wings and other things you’d expect to see at many American fare restaurants. Although they did have plantains as a side dish which were also great (if you like them soft). Great service, great food, and I’m looking forward to when they start offering a full menu. Great addition to the neighborhood!"
