"Nice scenic trail with varying lanscapes. Tarmac is in good condition for most of the trail. There are a few spots where the tarmac has heaved and a few holes that have been plugged with rocks. First times should ride conservitively to learn where these are to mitigate accidentsl flats or falls."
"Nice peaceful trail. Usually ride 3 to 4miles then turn around. Kids do it but with gradual inclines, it can wear you out."
"Paved the whole way, the west end is pretty bumpy but aside from that it was a smooth pleasant ride. Some great views. West end trailhead is almost non-existent."
"It feels like most of the trail is an incline both ways. Lol. A lot of people complain about the Ohio side of the trail. It really is a mess and such a shame that they don't take better care of the trail. The little general store is not in Struthers. It's in Lowellville and it's called Ross's Market. There is a Porta-potty in Lowellville as well, on the other side of the train tracks, by a gazebo. There should really be another one somewhere. The parking lot at the trailhead in New Castle is very small. Room for only about 10 cars. I can see that being a major problem on the weekends. Was a nice 20 mile ride out and back though."
"Very beautiful scenery! 11 miles of relaxing trail. I highly recommend you ride this trail. Which starts in Newcastle Pennsylvania and ends in Struthers ohio."
