Dr. Hanna H. Lisbona, MD

"Dr. Lisbona has been my doctor for over 14 years now. She is the absolute BEST! my children are extremely spaced in age (32, 25, and 11). Dr. Lisbona cared for me and delivered my youngest child, whom I conceived and at the age of 39 and was considered a high risk pregnancy, because of my age. I delivered my first 2 children naturally with no medication (my preference). However, I opted for the epidural with my last child, as I figured she truly would be "the last" child that I would carry and deliver. I chose to recieved an epidural because I wanted to experience childbirth without pain. Ironically, I had an appointment at 10 a.m. the day that I was due to deliver. Dr. Lisbona examined me and said "you are in labor, do you feel anything", no I replied. She sent me straight to the hospital. By 2 p.m., I was singing a different tune. When Dr. Lisbona arrived at the hospital, I was relieved to see her. I had received an epidural and all was going well, so I thought. I was 8 centimeters dilated and something was wrong, I could see it in Dr. Lisbona's eyes. As I continued to dilate, my daughter's heartbeat began to sound very faint/different. Turns out, at some point during labor, she decided to tilt her head, making it vaginally impossible to deliver her. With every contraction, she was fading away. I had to have an emergency c-section. I was so thankful that the epidural was in place because it saved time that was so vital and precious. As I laid there crying, and in fear waiting to hear the cries of my beautiful baby girl, I wondered if she was going to be alright, I heard the sound I was praying and waiting for, the cries of my baby. Due to the quick thinking and very skilled Dr. Hanna Lisbona, I delivered a healthy and beautiful 7 lb. 8.9 oz. 19 in. baby girl with no further complications and no health issues. Next month, she will be celebrating her 12th birthday! I am and will be forever thankful for Dr. Lisbona, true story. :)"
