"Solo traveler, I had a great time at the lodge, and the services they provided Everyone was very helpful, the food was great. My interest was to photograph the bears, I think that the salmons were a little late, but there were enough to take plenty of photos. The reason for a for stars on the location it was mustly on me for being out of shape, so I found it hard in the mornings walking ,with the hip boots to get to the boat, however, I received help when needed. Note... I would find out what the main interest other people on the group is, my was bears, another person was birds, it was not a major problem, but I think it can be. Many thanks to the staff for making my stay very enjoyable and fun"
"This review is for the company. We had planned our stay for August 2022. We paid our deposit a year and a half ago. We never gave them our personal medical information nor did we say we would not get the covid vaccine. We did ask questions, however, about the requirements and mask wearing (appears to be the case). We received an email saying they prefer that we do not visit because we would cause discord. How shocking! They wanted to refund us our money and help us make alternate plans and arrangements. We accepted the refund and got an email with an invoice attached. I questioned why we were not given suggestions for other arrangements and then received an additional email with a link to an Alaska FB page. This is unacceptable and appalling to us. If not to you, then we hope you enjoy. We have found other arrangements with hosts who are equally shocked at the behavior of this company and who state that Alaska is a state of free thinkers and open to all with no personal medical information required."
