"I was scheduled for a first-time 1 hr appt with Laurie Herring. After 15 minutes she asked me if I wanted to continue seeing her. I was taken totally off guard and told her I wasn't 100% decided yet. After that she said "OK, well it was nice to meet you. Please call to schedule if you'd like to continue seeing me." And then she ended the video call! And then I get an email saying "Hi, you owe us $75" and when I asked for an official bill I was told "We don't send bills." When I explained that I was not going to provide my payment info over the phone or through email (since that's not SAFE), they gave me a discount down $50 and told me I could pay over phone or via square. Extremely unprofessional. 15 minutes should be a free consultation, ESPECIALLY since I was expecting a full hour. A joke of an organization."
"After working with a few different therapists, I realized I wanted to work with a therapist that belonged to the BIPOC community and queer allied. I had a hard time connecting with a few different EAP therapists through my workplace. After having a crisis, I realized I needed to put a good faith effort into finding a good therapist placement for me. Yi worked with me to really understand the root of my trauma and the ways trauma has changed the way my brain works. We worked together to find more adaptive ways of functioning. I can't recommend her enough."
"Tammy Hardy left the practice with no notice. She told me at the end of a session she wouldn’t be working there anymore. I was then transferred to another therapist, Yi. She assumed I was in an abusive relationship and shamed me for talking about my new partner with some frequency. I do not recommend this practice. It’s unprofessional. They also used a shared texting line which I wasn’t warned about and I assumed it was a personal number."
"SLC Mental Health brought me my amazing therapist, Sarah! I would recommend them to anyone who is searching for help. Sarah has helped me heal, grow, and push through some of the most difficult times in my life. I will forever be grateful for this practice and especially Sarah. ❤️"
