"I hate to speak this negatively about anyone but this doctor is LITERALLY a waste of time and money. During the 2 visits I had with him, he just held onto his nose with his eyes squeezed shut the whole time I was speaking (I guess as to say I wasn't making any sense to him??!!), and he did absolutely nothing for me except give me an RX for Protonix (which I already had). Like the other reviewer, I had to get treated in the ER because he didn't treat me with anything useful. Afterwards, I called his office and left a message (as instructed by ER physician) to say that it was recommended to do a repeat EGD as I may be now developing an ulcer. After more than a week, I never received a call back, so, I called again only to learn he wrote a note in my chart to tell me to go back my previous GI doctor. No explanation. No nothing. I was never rude to him or did anything to deserve this callous treatment except ask questions and inquire about other possible solutions. I guess advocating for yourself is frowned upon these days?? He's not only useless, he's recklessly negligent if you ask me. If I do have an ulcer or some new issue, it's on him! How are they allowed to charge for services they are not even providing??!!"

"I have been a patient of Dr. Berger's since 2010. He has always been professional, considerate, and well versed in Gastoenteational Disorders/Diseases. I would highly recommend him."

"arrogant and useless. i know those are cruel words and it’s unlike me to leave a bad review but this is how i truly feel. his team is amazing, it’s him himself that i would never go back to or recommend. i came to him desperate with a whole list of symptoms that were ruining my life and he was very reassuring he would help me find answers and we would do a colonoscopy and endoscopy and if that didn’t give answers we would keep testing and trying things until we got things figured out, then after the colonoscopy and endoscopy not only did he lie to me and say everything was normal when the report he sent to my dr said otherwise, he also only took one biopsy from my entire colon so now i have to get another one done at another place because they can’t have accurate results from only one biopsy, AND when they called me with results they said he said to take immodium as needed and he didn’t need to see me again. diarrhea wasn’t even one of my symptoms. what would immodium do for me??? so much for fighting for answers. he is useless. don’t waste your time or money. now i’m having to start the process all over again at a different GI dr."

"Decided I was faking or creating my own problems and refused to do anything for me. I had to keep going to the ER and seeing hospital staff gastros for treatment because he wouldn't do anything. He was absent even during a stay in the ICU for severe bleeding, which he'd refused to see me in office for. I think he's a good doctor and a decent man, but the "I've seen it all" attitude is impossible."
