"Shelby told me that I'd get a full refund if I didn't like the apartment after my scheduled viewing of the property. I requested my refund or at least my deposit, and she denied my refund. I reached out to their corporate office, and they still refused to return my deposit and application fees of 196 dollars. This company steals consumers' money. Has you to apply knowing they aren't going to approve the application just to pocket your hard-working money! In today's time, even businesses are greedy and unethical. I am hoping to make a BBB complaint to try and get my money back or at least my deposit!"
"While I can see all of the replies that leinbach has made, and while I believe they are made in good faith in the end I think the responsibility lies with the management or the owners. They may be great people and they may truly care about their tenants, however it's their responsibility to ensure that their employees operate with a sense of ethics and morality. People want to be treated like people and not like they are less than or beholden to anyone or anything. I hope people read these reviews and do their best to stay out of any property this company is managing. When they start to make the appropriate changes I think we will see those changes reflected in better reviews. For now words really don't mean anything. Let's see some action and let's see you take better care of your tenants."
"Crown at Lone Oak... don’t move in. Trust me!!! Jade is the WORST person I have ever dealt with. So unprofessional and tacky. Does not know how to do basic math to pro-rate rent. Lol! Tried to add a lot of extra charges when I moved out. Tried to claim I stole a Cox modem when there wasn’t one when I moved in. She might be okay selling trailers or bagging groceries at Walmart. More her look and intelligence. She is on the verge of harassing."
"I rented from one of their properties (Crown Lone Oak Apartments) and management harrassed me so much I had to move out. I am a disabled veteran and have an emotional support dog to help with my chronic pain. About a few months back management accused me of not picking up after my dog and said they had pictures. When I asked to send pictures they did; however, the picture was just of me walking my dog. It had no evidence of me not picking up after her. After this incident I was constantly harrassed by management and caused so much unneeded stress I chose to break my lease. Which caused me to lose over $2100. When doing my final walk through with management. I pointed out were the carpet was unraveling and immediately she said that's from a cat, so I told her my didn't had no claws and died awhile back. Then she said it's from a dog, which I then responded, my bed was right there. There is no way my dog could have crawled under my bed to do that. Then she asked what type of vacuum I have and I told her Dyson, she immediately responded Dyson's have a really strong suction and will damage carpet. The manager was just trying to find any excuse to charge me, because they choose to install cheap builder grade carpet. Moving forward I am in the process of talking to fair housing in OKC, BBB, and a lawyer for falsely accusing me of something I didn't do and the harassment following that incident. NO ONE SHOULD EVER GO THROUGH WHAT I DID WITH THIS MANAGEMENT. I do feel they were harassing me, because of my disability and having an emotional support dog."
"I lived in Monaco Park Apartments on 51st between Sheridan and Harvard. Would leave zero stars if possible. Living here was A NIGHTMARE. Please use extreme caution. 1. We moved in because we loved that it was a gated community. I lived there for nearly 2 years and the gate was broke for a year and a half of that duration. 2. Management changed 3 different times. And each time, they seemed to be less qualified and informed than the pair before. 3. MY UNIT GOT BED BUGS. This was one of the worst experiences of my life. Turned out my neighbor had a huge infestation. Management found out about it quite sometime before I began to see signs of them, and they NEVER notified me. 4. The first year I lived there, the pools were closed nearly the entire summer for various "maintenance" issues. 5. We had a major leak in one of the walls downstairs. A pipe "broke" and sewer water soaked our living room carpets THREE separate times. I finally had to DEMAND faux wood floors (which were so poorly installed, corners were not cut properly, it looked awful) so that when leaks would occur in the future, my entire apartment wouldn't smell like mildew/sewer. Who knows how much mold is in the walls of these places. 6. 3 months prior to my move-out date, I had 3 different maintenance requests submitted. They were never fixed. 7. I paid a pet deposit when I first moved in ($300). Somehow, it was not properly input into the system and I ended up getting charged $300 a month AFTER move-out. I contacted management to get more information and they said "it has been submitted to collections, we can not give you any information." They had apparently submitted this fee to a Credit agency before even sending me a notification with amount owed. Did not even give me time to pay it or dispute it or talk about it. I know over the course of my time at this complex, I dealt with more issues that I cannot remember. But SERIOUSLY, if you're reading this, really consider if you want to put yourself through the headache of working with management like this. I spoke with many neighbors in the area who have had similar or more traumatic issues than I have. They do not have their tenants best interested at heart. There are plenty of other newer and nicer developments in Tulsa for the same price OR pay a LITTLE more in rent per month to avoid this place. It will be worth it."
