"I have a friend who lives in here and can’t even get the landlords to fix her front door. It won’t stay shut if you don’t lock the dead bolt the property is trashed and the rent is way to high for what it is. The property is trashed it would take very little effort and money to at least make the outside look better but obviously the landlord doesn’t care about his property or tenants. The windows are drafty the brick walls are cold and the door doesn’t seal."
"Been living here 23+years. 6-7 owners. No Meth Labs since new owners took over. A few Druggies still come around but dealt with post haste by owners."
"Charming and cozy, Cyrus Avery Court is a great complex with a real sense of community. The landlord, however, is terrible. She takes FOREVER to get back to you about issues. My single, solitary window-unit air conditioner was broken for almost 2 weeks before she sent someone to address it. In Oklahoma summers, that’s a big deal. She then took over a year to return phone calls and texts about getting my deposit back, then claimed she had to do a ton of work on the apartment so I wasn’t getting my deposit back. I’ve never not scrubbed my apartments down and gotten a deposit back. And for her to take 14 months to communicate this is outrageous. At some point we reached out to her son who is also a kinda-landlord there, and he said she had been busy planning her wedding and going on her honeymoon. Cool."
"Pros: Rent is fair for what you get. Neighbors all watch out of each other. It quiet at night. No issues with cars being broken into. Cons: electric bills are extremely high depending on what apartment you live in. It took landlord over a year to fix hot water problems. Landscaping is almost non existent unless tenants cut grass themselves. Landlord is slow to respond with maintenance issues."
"I live here. Rent is fair, the landlord can work with you on occasion. The maintenance guy is friendly, it's just that it's an old building and pretty much hardly anything in my opinion is up to par. Broken fixtures and floor tiles and shotty dry wall. The neighbors are friendly mostly."
