"Came and toured about a week ago now. Have not received any call or email since, even though everyone else I toured has reached out. The person in the front of the office also showed little to no interest in showing me around, but yet had no issues bad mouthing other apartment complexes. They mentioned one apartment specifically for being so bad, yet that was the apartment that sent me to look at this one. Showing me that the people at Creed Canyon are being petty and trying any method to under cut others to get a new resident even though they themselves seem pretty bad themselves. Would not lease here as long as the office staff that is currently there is still there. Even the manager seems irritated when my wife called last week to try and set up a tour. Just overall a bad taste in my mouth."
"Do not expect your security deposit back. I lived for one year in the apartment. I have high standards with the way I live and therefore demand cleanliness and organization. This goes to say my apartment was very clean during my stay and certainly upon moving out. I expected to receive a partial of my security deposit back as I made sure to clean the apartment but, I did not professionally clean the carpet, which shouldn’t be my responsibility. In my opinion, if management wants to present the apartment as “professionally clean” this should come out of their pocket. I believe a security deposit should be for damages incurred by the tenet. Which I will admit a new coat of paint was needed as I used command hooks and when removed took some of the paint. As well, as covering the holes from the mounted TV. Also, for the first week, the automatic security gate work but beyond that did not work for the rest of the year. As well as the secondary security did not work for several months. This was a bit of a concern as the apartments are located close to Walmart and other shopping centers. With that being said, the women and (only the women in the office) are very nice. The two maintenance men, Earl I believe is his name and the newest man, are also nice. The grounds are free from trash and the grass cut weekly. The office provides ordered food for the tenet regularly. Sign a lease but don’t clean upon moving out because they are going to keep ALL of your security deposit."
"Lived here a few years ago, wouldn’t recommend then, wouldn’t recommend now, my spouse applied late September and paid the $450, when denied because of some false info given by last “property manager” at his first apartment… was told by Craig (the manager) who use to be maintenance and imo should have stayed in maintenance, that he would get refunded. Didn’t answer emails, communication is terrible. And when amount was disputed with the bank(because Craig stopped responding and the refund was never given), Craig sent him “proof” that he sent a check, which the proof said that he created and modified it on the same day (Oct 18 nearly a month after applying) which was nearly a month after my spouse applied when it took nearly a week to get denied. Also, it said “amount to be refunded” not “amount refunded” coincidentally was the same day Craig found out that my spouse had disputed the transaction. My spouse also asked him, if he in fact did mail a check, (it’s been 2 months since he said he has done so and we still have not received it), he asked Craig if he could void the check (if he even mailed it in the first place) and mail a new one. And again, communication is terrible, the only times Craig communicated was to tell my spouse that he would get refunded, then he told him to cancel the dispute, then he sent his “proof”. Terrible place, with terrible management, with people who shouldn’t be in management, because they don’t know how to do their job and are liars that seem to like to take peoples money."
"There are many options in the Sherman area, however, I truly believe that Creed Canyon is just a little better than the rest of them. Craig is a great manager, supported by an awesome office staff & maintenance team. They are quick to fix resident concerns and very friendly in the office!"
"It was great at first then the assistant manager and manager left and new management changed their rules on a few things and it has now been 40 days since we moved out and we still haven't received our refund. When I went in and asked them about it I got attitude and was told, "Well we have 30 days!" 30 days have come and gone now, thanks for the attitude, where's my money?"
