"The staff was nice and the doctor helped me understand that I may have been misdiagnosed with narcolepsy. A huge benefit. The issue is the massive wait times. It will ultimately take me nearly a year to be seen and have treatment provided. My wife is starting the process now and has an appointment 8 months out just to be seen. If you have a more pressing sleep issue and your insurance will cover some where else I would recommend doing so."
"I have been a patient of several U of U clinics over the years and have had excellent experiences in of them except the Sleep Wake Center. After waiting months for an appointment, the office staff was not able to update MyChart, two home tests failed, and, most frustrating, was the fact that we could not reach team members directly nor were phone messages returned. As a courtesy to U of U patients, if the clinic is not able to provide the medical care required, referrals should be made to other facilities in the area."
"I want to start by saying the woman who handled my reservation and my sleep technician were both amazing. Unfortunately, I don't remember their names. However, I am sad to say that after my sleep study, there was no follow up whatsoever. I have even called several times and can't get a person on the phone to talk to. My sleep study was 2 months ago and I still have not heard anything from the specialist. To sum up: great customer service provided by front line staff, terrible care and customer service provided by the specialist. Update: I have decreased my rating from 2 stars to 1. I have to make my 1-year follow-up appointment a year in advance, and when it rolled around, they cancelled on me. When trying to reschedule I learned that none of the doctors are available prior to 10am. This does not work well with my schedule, so I requested to speak with the office manager. I left a voicemail a month ago and still have not received a return phone call."
