"I was referred to Nancy Bivens by my PCP to help me deal with anxiety. I have been taking Lorazepam responsibly and within reasonable limits for well over 15 years now. I have been trying to deal with the most stressful situation of my life, having panic attacks almost daily. I turned to Dr. Bivens for help, and she left me high and dry. Apparently since the Opioid epidemic some doctors are willing to throw their patients under the bus so they won't get in "trouble". She's one of those selfish ones who will put herself first before her patients. It's a travesty to those of us who have taken Lorazepam responsibly over the years. Why should we pay for something others have done? It makes no sense. And she's jumped on the bandwagon. Can't think for herself. If you are ever referred to Dr. Bivens, don't walk away but run! She is one of the worst things that has happened in my life. I have to deal with my anxiety one way or another. If it means going to the liquor store for relief, so be it. She's the worst psychiatrist ever. She's a terrible communicator, she gives questionable advice - like chew on a piece of Zyprexa as though it is an anti-anxiety med. Such a bunch of B.S.!"
"This was my second appointment with this provider, for med management. Both appointments this provider was an hour or more late. This provider works for Cotton Wood Medical clinic(IHC). I finally went up to the desk and asked “what was the reason for the delay?” They just responded to go sit back down in the waiting area. I responded with, “Look I can’t sit here all day waiting to see the doctor. I have other things that I need to do to day.” I returned to the waiting area for another 15 mins and then went back up to the desk and informed the desk agent that “ I was leaving and don’t even think about billing for this appointment.” I was gone for around 15 mins and I get a text message wanting to do a video visit with Doctor Bivens. I explained how I wouldn’t be continuing to see her any longer. She offered no apologies. I then told her I would like a referral to another doctor. She agreed. Needless to say she is not a reliable person that can be reliable enough to keep her appointments and offers no response for her part of that. So I would suggest to keep looking."
"After my docters appointment, I was headed for the door's, When the office staff violated my civil rights to require my service animal to be on a leash when that would indanger my life. due to my disability. The same disability veterans have due to a near death experience while serving our country . Well I had a near death experience!!! TURTLE ROLLING MY SUV!!! I bounced 3 times. went out my wife's window and my docters tell me the EMT's should have found a dead body not me alive!!! And now I have a service animal that if on a leash and for any reason I got tangled up in the leash and fell and hit my head or twisted my neck you could quit possibly see my dead body!!! And not me walking out the doors of your office that would just ruin my life!!! Because your office manager seems to think she can insist my service animal be on a leash violating my civil rights!!! Does she know the penalty for violating my civil rights! I do! $2000.00 fine, jail or both for each incident!!! So thanks for making my visit so pleasant!!! Not happy. And I could press charges!"
"I have met with Dr. Bivens 3 times now. Every time she was more than 45 minutes late and didn’t seem to care about how much work it is for a depressed mother to get to an appointment on time. I have been prescribed xanex for over 10 years and when I met with her she refused to prescribe xanex again. She requested that I change my current antidepressant and once I did, it made me have more panic attacks than on my old meds. I tried calling the dr office in the middle of a panic attack, to see how I can stop taking these new meds and hopefully get back on my old meds with Xanax also as a “as needed” basis (like, RIGHT NOW!). They said that some one would call me back. No one ever did. Now, today I have tried to call the office to speak to a nurse FIVE times! And no one will help me. They transferred me to a mental health crisis line!!! Why in the world is it so hard to talk to a mental health doctor!! Especially some one who refuses to prescribe my normal anxiety meds! What did she think was going to happen? I am so upset! I would not recommend to my worst enemy!"
"I had set up the appointment in December. I got the text reminders and filled out the check in information. I am a teacher so I had to take the day off. That means making sub plans, getting a sub to cover my spot. 26 students did fluff work for the day so I could make my appointment. THE DOCTOR WASN’T AT WORK THAT DAY!!! let me repeat. THE DOCTOR WAS OUT OF THE OFFICE!!!! I was never notified of this. The receptionist simply just said well I guess we’ll have to reschedule. She gave zero care that I had taken the day off work and many peoples lives have been altered because I was not notified. If I had missed the appointment, I would’ve had to pay for it. But that’s happening to me caused no consequence to happen whatsoever. When I left the receptionist desk, she told me that she would try and make it so I didn’t have to pay a cancellation fee. What???"
