Studio Star Fairgrounds Extended Stay Hotel

"Make no mistake, this is not a typical place. Rather it is an extended stay hotel that apparently exists between the real world and something quite different. The people are unique and very often kind. Much like a Steinbeck novella that has been reworked by an anime artist that desperately wants to write historic romance novels, this makes no sense. So don't try and understand it. It is what it is until it changes"

"Rooms are much different than in the pictures and videos. New owners have done wonders for this place."

"We were offered a decent rate to stay for 3 weeks in December 2023. The Heater in the room we were given does Not work, the thermostat doesn't work properly. Our son was already in a room, and the heater worked in his room. The room we were given the air is very cold at night. The hallways of the hotel are very cold. Maintenance tried to fix the heater- air unit but the thermostat does Not work. They don't have any rooms to move us to. We are stuck in a room without heat and it is freezing outside in the winter. I told the clerk I have Asthma! Cold air makes Asthma worse. The man at desk said they gave us a special rate but he didn't tell us that the room we were getting the heater didn't work in when we paid for 3 weeks up front. I asked to be moved to another room, and got no response."

"This place change hands Mike no longer here new owners don't know yet there desk helpers disrespected I have been here almost 8 yrs some of there works are disrespected I ask for a ice box the young man didn't want to help me lost 200 dollars worth of food we get paid once a month you can't get nothing but by church have 3 boys sister and a dog to take care of I put my clothes in 2 washer one washer stop and I lost 4 dollars in a dryer that stop seems they don't care still have problems with bed bugs lost alot of money own spray I clean up parking lot I pick up dog poop own ground make sure the poop can has poop bags that I by and take out the trash bag and put one in I want recommended this place to any one to live here it a dump and they have no respect to the people that live here I have to fight for my family to live here my room not liveable"

"This place is a mess. The pictures are a lie. My son took pictures and the place was run down. Do not go it's crazy and Mike still charged me even when I didn't stay like it's a 4 star hotel. I can not believe it. It made a crack house look like a 4 star palace. I have been scared for live and my son bless his lovely soul has changed his attitude. I tell him you act up that is how you will be living. I promise you it looked like a crack house. Sad just sad, wonder why people don't support one another when your own people will take advantage of you a use you. 0 stars"
