""I was at the store to buy soccer shoes, and there was a man at the counter acting like the manager; I'm not sure if it was for in-store pick-up. He discriminated against me because I do not look white, he spoke very angerly but he says I apolozise . Initially, I bought shoes as a Christmas gift for a friend, and we weren't sure about the size. I used a coupon; the first scan didn't work, so he overrode the price. When I bought a smaller size of the same shoes, he priced it $10 higher. I asked for a $10 discount, but he refused. As a regular customer, I won't be coming back to Academy due to the discriminatory attitude. I could see a difference in his demeanor while in line for checkout. I might buy the same shoes on Amazon for $10 less, as I thought Academy had good service, but not anymore. On the other hand, another African American gentleman, who had a long line, was very kind. He suggested the best shoes for me and offered helpful advice. I wish I had chosen that line to avoid the discrimination.""

"Parking lot is just wrecked and has huge holes. Older gentleman at the gun counter is a jerk and can't be bothered with questions or asked to see a product. Rain gear has.never been restocked. Just going downhill from its heyday in the 2000's. Can't imagine they will survive 2024 and this economy and with no reinvestment in this dilapidated store."
