"I've been with you guys since you were Crossroads. I was usually able to contact a representative with questions. I've been needing help navigating the patient portal, so there has been a plethora of times where I've tried to call for assistance, but I could never get any. I've been needing to update my insurance information, and I wasn't able to. I plan on cancelling my services with you guys because at this point it's more of a burden than anything. I love how I can't get a hold of anyone for clinical questions and I'm on hold for 20 minutes at a time and end up hanging up. I don't understand."
"I had no issues whatsoever with Crossroads to provide me with counseling services. LifeStance is a corporate business out to make money, taking advantage of people who struggle with mental health issues. I was placed on a "grandfathered" rate for counseling since they didn't take my insurance, of $10 a month. Well, they just informed me, 1 year later, after I spoke with a supposed manager twice and their billing department twice that year in order to get my account straightened out, that they took me off the grandfathered plan in January 2023 and couldn't reinstate it because my provider didn't accept the insurance I had. I paid co-pays for 6 months greater than the $10 a week plan because it took them till June 2023 to tell me my insurance was being rejected. I quit paying co-pays once I learned about my insurance and thought I had a credit on my account since I was, I thought, still on the grandfathered plan. Now they will not permit me to self pay when I can, which I want to do, even though they upped a 53+ minute session to $275 from $195 in Dec 2023. They told me it's "against their policy" for me to self-pay. Even tho that contradicts the term "self-pay" itself. Why give a self pay rate to patients if it's against their policy? Hmm, let's see. They're lying?? Patients have to pay before they get to see a provider anyway, so why does it matter if they self pay? Also, LifeStance doesn't accept cash and they never answer their phones. They told me I can't see my provider I've been seeing anymore because he's not in network with my insurance, while when I was at Crossroads, that was never an issue. So they kicked me out of their clinic with an $840 bill, which I'm not complaining about with what they charge, but I'm extremely disgusted and disappointed with this so-called business. Compassionate? HELL no, they're not. LifeStance is in it for the money and I do know many providers are leaving them, because the company truly sucks."
"I’m going to start off by saying that I’ve worked in healthcare, I’ve sent prescriptions, I’ve communicated with providers etc. So, I have an idea of how busy, frustrating it can be. But, I also have a really good idea of how things should work. And, Life Stance is an absolute joke when it comes to healthcare. My husband has been on the same medication for 14 years. And has only had one increase in this medication. He has never missed an appointment. Never “lost” a prescription. Never asked for an early refill. Gold star patient. So, Life Stance please explain to me how every time he needs a refill it takes a week to not only get it sent to a pharmacy but sent to the correct pharmacy? Please tell me how he fills his medication at the end of the month every month, asks for his refill to be put in 1/25 and receives a message that states his provider is leaving and they no longer take his insurance, so he needs to find a new provider. BUT don’t worry we will send one 30 day prescription to get you by until you establish somewhere else. And here we are on 2/2 and it won’t be until Monday before he can pick up his prescription? We were told everything from it’s already been sent. No it hasn’t. We’ve called the pharmacy and you’re more than welcome to too. Oh well it looks like it was sent 1/3 so it’s expired. Really? That’s weird since he picked up his last prescription the last week of December. So the pharmacy wouldn’t let him pick up the prescription on 1/3. Oh. Ok. Well are you going to continue with Life Stance? Uh no? You sent a message that said you were no longer taking his insurance and he needs to find a new doctor on 1/25? Along with we will send a prescription in to get you by? Oh well it was sent at 7am this morning. When did you check with the pharmacy? Yesterday afternoon. We’ve been dealing with this a week now. Oh well it was sent at 7 am this morning. Call pharmacy and no prescription. Call lifestance well it looks like it hasn’t been sent yet. They maybe probably will get to it today. I ask what does that even mean maybe probably? I’m told they have 48 hours to send in a prescription. So when did the doctor get it? Oh 7 am this morning. Not 1/25 when he requested it and was told it would be sent. Not 1/29 when he called to check again. Not 2/1 when he followed up again. I don’t know how you guys are still in business and seeing patients. Only to leave them high and dry when they’ve followed every instruction and have had zero issues with their medication or refills prior to being seen by you guys. The guy in the front office I talked to. Thank you for being patient and kind in my frustrations. You’re doing a killer job. I’m sorry the company you work for is lower than subpar if there is even such a thing."
"I’ll start by saying I’ve had the same medical provider(s) in Tulsa for 10+ years elsewhere with no issues. Never been released from care, showed up to every appointment on time or proactively communicated if I was ever late or needed to reschedule. I think both my therapist and my NP leaving or effectively leaving within 6 months of Lifestance taking over, as well as my sudden issue trying to communicate with the office, speaks for itself. They dropped me because: I showed up to a call, my provider did not. I was rescheduled via text to a time the same day when I was on an airplane. I tried to call the office prior to boarding the plane about their provider issue, no one answered. No explanation as to why the appointment was rescheduled, no call from Lifestance the day of or any of the 17 days after that day. Tried to reschedule on the website - come to find out upon getting home, my provider had resigned, and you can only reschedule with another provider by calling. When I finally got home where phone calls aren’t a dollar a minute, because you’re going to be on the phone with them for AWHILE, I found out my care was terminated, as I’d “missed” both of the appointments (yeah, the one my provider didn’t show up for and the same-day, rescheduled one), and they have a “2 appointment no call, no show, you’re dropped” rule. I offered to show them I did attempt to reschedule and call, and that I was on a plane the time THEY rescheduled me same day of, and they told me to ask my insurance for another provider because the dismissal had already been processed. I’m taking it as an opportunity to look elsewhere. Weirdly managed place. Never had an issue with Crossroads."
"EDIT: check Lifestance out on BBB - they're not accredited, have an alert banner at the top of their profile, received an F grade, and have a 1.07 out of 5 stars there. Original: I started as a patient with Crossroads and had the best experience. My provider was understanding, customer service was excellent, and pricing as a cash-pay patient was very reasonable. Since being taken over by Lifestance, my care has been beyond disappointing. The PA I see is still fantastic.. It's just beyond impossible to get in touch with ANYONE, whether it comes to billing, refills, wrong pharmacies, scheduling, etc. I have another appointment coming up and they said my rates will go up by at least 100%, maybe 200%. No one can tell me what the actual price will be though. Good luck getting through - I've waited on hold for almost an hour multiple times. Good luck leaving a voicemail.. when you can find a department to leave a voicemail on, they do not call back. They call the script into the wrong pharmacy on the regular now. Sending messages through the patient portal is the same.. no one responds. Reading the reviews, though, made me feel better as I'm obviously not the only one having this experience. I would recommend looking elsewhere but I don't think I have to push that advice too hard.. I don't know how you can even schedule an appointment! I'll be looking for a new provider myself!"
