Panda Garden Chinese Buffet & BBQ

"I've driven by twice a day for years. Today I was hungry and had a little time so I stopped. Arrived at about 8. Buffet was $14.50. The place was about 1/3 full, mostly (well-behaved) high school kids. I've seen negative reviews on service-- nobody was effusive but I got everything I needed, when I needed it so no complaints. Food was hit or miss. They did have people changing out half-full pans of food, so they do appear to keep things fresh. Sushi looked good but I didn't try it. The Mongolian BBQ had a line the whole time and I didn't wait for it, but it looked good too. The egg drop soup alone will make me return-- it was probably the best I've had in the metro. Great flavor, not oily. Some of the food items (Cleopatra chicken and garlic fritter chicken) would have also been excellent, but they were so salty that I assume there had been some kind of salt accident in the kitchen. None of the other food items were salty like that. Hawaiian chicken and sweet and sour pork were fine but on the tough side. Glass noodles were pretty good. The seafood all seemed overcooked- I would skip it next time. Dessert looked like standard buffet dessert but I skipped it in favor of an extra bowl of soup. I really loved that soup...I had started with a 3 star rating but I just changed it to 4 because I will be thinking about that soup for awhile."

"Horrible,Horrible FOOD DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME COMING HERE. WAS ONLY ABLE TO EAT A LITTLE BIT THAT WAS NOT ROCK HARD FROM BEING OVER COOK AN THE PRICE THEY CHARGE FOR FAMILY OF 4 TO EAT I COULD HAVE WENT TO A PICK UP CHINESE FOOD PLACE AN GOT MORE EATABLE FOOD FROM THEM. IM VERY PISSED OFF ABOUT THEIR FOOD HERE."

"We're had a large group 18+ that got together after a family event and decided that this was the best place to go and able to handle a large group. Great selection of food to choose from! My personal favorite was the Mongolian BBQ. Well worth the extra time! The sushi bar was my next favorite. I only went through the line twice and I did not over eat! They were several from out of town so wet may the visit worth while. I'm sure I'm going to put those on my places to return."

"Reminds me of Hunan. Simple Chinese dishes. Food is fresh. Mandarin bbq is a nice little selection. Prices are reasonable."

"It’s a Chinese Buffet, so when it comes rating, it’s not on the same scale as a steak house. Out of all the Chinese buffets this one is my husbands favorite. The Mongolian BBQ is really good, the chef is always attentive to your spice levels. The sushi is usually good, depending on the chef you might get some that isn’t the best quality. My favorite here is the coconut shrimp, it’s really good. I also like the bananas in the strawberry sauce for my dessert choice. If you like a Chinese Buffet this place is a must. Service is not good, but like I said it’s a buffet."
