"Othello's Italian restaurant in Norman is a wonderful Italian restaurant. Small but cozy this restaurant surprised me in its atmosphere and great food. They are very customer aware. We have been here twice and both times it's been amazing. On Valentine's Day we made a reservation and when we walked in the door and they gave my wife a rose. And of course they have candles lit at every occupied table. The ambiance is perfect. Highly recommended for date night."
"Not a bad place, but could be so much better if it weren’t for some annoying things. To start with, their parking lot goes through their back porch seating area and through the back of the restaurant. You have to work your way to the front, and the tables are all so close together that it’s majorly awkward and uncomfortable. Not to mention there could be a reserved party with a buffet on their porch, so you’d have to get through that too. Once you finally sit down and get some food things aren’t that bad, but the service is kind of slow. There are plenty of entitled “regulars” who get better service because showing up and hitting on the younger girls that work here and tipping them big is probably the most important part of their week, or feeling important at a restaurant is, at least. I was not a fan of how stupidly cramped and unnavigable the seating was. There was also a lady singing badly off-key and playing piano, which I didn’t really think added to the atmosphere at all. Overall, if you want to be part of a big hullabaloo and to be surrounded on all sides, or bring your giant group if 50 and ruin everyone else’s night, this is your place. If you actually want to go on a date, or eat somewhere relatively not stressful, I suggest looking elsewhere. Plenty of other good options on Italian in town where you can walk to your table without much resistance"
"We have had a large party late on Sunday night service was excellent and because of the room we are in is shut off from the rest of the restaurant we didn't even realize it was past their closing time and we were the only patrons left. I had the Murcers pizza which was half price and these fried pepperoni are great and available to add to other dishes. Highly recommend."
