"Dr's kept sending my husband home when he was in severe pain from not being able to urinate for quite a few days. They told him they were running tests, but they didn't diagnose him w/ anything and sends him home for the 4th time with a catheter !! Forget pain relief, 'take 3 Extra Strength Tylenol and if you have any problems, come back in!!" The only thing they did was put a catheter in and to come back to get it changed every 2 to 3 days."
"You would think with the technology we have this hospital could run so much better. 6 hours in to an ER visit is ridiculous. Don’t know if they understaffed or over worked but there is no excuse for it. I should be charging them with how long we have had to wait. Why can urgent cares work through so many people quickly and efficiently yes ERs sucks at it? Makes no sense."
"Horrible Care. I had a heart attack on Feb 19, 2024 and received the worst care imaginable. I am a health care professional and was utterly embarrassed by the care that I have and continue to receive. I laid in the ER for 24 hours. The admitting Dr. Dr. Decker was extremely unprofessional. I have called to file a formal complaint and was told that I would hear back in a timely manner and have not heard anything. What is happening to our health care system. I received horrible care and then a 40,000.00 bill for the horrible care. I Could go on and on but will leave it here. As long as I am conscious I will NEVER go to St. Francis again…… So sad! I had chest pain a week later and was left in a waiting room for 13 hours. I was charged 3900.00 for an ER room that I was never in. Now I am trying to get a return to work note from my cardiologist and can’t get anyone to answer my phone calls or my chart messages. I am just appalled!!"
"I delivered my second baby here recently. I went to a different hospital for my first and had a horrible experience so I chose St. Francis for my second. Every person I know that has delivered a baby here has had positive things to say. I also had a very positive experience. My nurses in L and D and postpartum were all nice, supportive, and kind. I had a difficult labor and delivery with complications but the nurses made sure I was informed of everything going on and took extremely good care of my baby and myself. One of the postpartum nurses, named Destiny, went above and beyond for me and was so very kind. She is an absolute gem of a nurse and person!"
"Took my father there for a heart scare and the ER room was packed with patients that had been waiting for over 12 hours. There was a group of us waiting at the entrance instead of the waiting room due to all the sickness. The staff did not care or were just over worked, I couldn’t tell which as they did not show any sign of understanding as to how we all felt, I felt like cattle in a slaughter house. They ran an ekg without giving us any information as to what it said. They took bloodwork and then set us back in the very small waiting room next to many many patients with the flu and stomach viruses, again we went to the entrance with a group of other patients to get some separation. I was worried my father with a heart issue was now going to get sick. There was no coffee, water or anything that resembled comfort while you sat for hours with absolutely no answers or plan. This hospital can do so much better. I was terribly disappointed. We would have walked out if we thought that we would not have had trouble with the insurance paying for the tests they had ran. Also, I never once saw any wheelchair or anything else for that matter cleaned! We we have been here 12 hours and no one was bothering to try to clean with all this sickness! Crazy!"
