Nocona General Hospital

"This is one of the worst hospitals in Texas. I never been disrespected because of the color of my skin.. I went there because of stomach problems throwing up like 7 times a day. The first time I go there one of the nurses snatched my water out my hand because she couldn’t express the fact that I couldn’t have water when I’m throwing up.. Recently I went up there for a doctors excuse the nurse told me that she wasn’t going waking any doctors up for an excuse so I asked for her name and she denied to give me her name.. also called the police and said I was being aggressive.."

"If I could give ZERO stars I would this is the most unprofessional under educated and unpleasant place that I have had the discomfort of being in. The nurses and Dr's here are about the most idiotic/rude/in passionate people I have came across I have had at least 560 days of hospital stays in multiple hospitals across the south and mid west and this by far the worst. And what makes it even more horrible is that they are a teaching hospital which is a laughing joke at this point. If you want to suffer and be miserable come to this hospital"

"Went to Nocona clinic twice in one week. Second visit I seen Charles Culpepper. After 3 weeks of suffering from super lice, 16 lbs later,half my hair gone, this P.A tells me I have a mole on my head. Proceeds to tell me that my condition is in my imagination. He made a quick 120.00 and insulted my intelligence. I've had my respect, pride and intelligence attacked by a few of the Doctors in this clinic."

"We are from out of town and my son was injured in a football game at the local high school. We were promptly seen and scans were quickly done. We were told within 30 minutes what was wrong with my son.(Patton, NP) The doctor was not on duty when we arrived, but was quickly called and came within 20 minutes. He was friendly, informative and went above and BEYOND to help our whole family.(L. Dingler, MD) He made a connection with my son and kept my son’s mind distracted while getting his broken ankle wrapped. The staff advised us on the next steps needed for my son’s care and we were on our way! Did I forget to mention, all this was happening WITH an Emergency Services Student present?! What better people to learn from? THANK YOU, Nocona General Hospital!"

"My husband had a noon appointment to get his Covid vaccine shot. He showed up 30 minutes early and was told he had to wait till noon to check in. A couple showed up and was told to wait. A second couple showed up 10 minutes early and were allowed to check in. My husband got in line only to be told his name was not on the list. He went to a second person and he was not on that list either. One list was computer generated and one was hand written. They told my husband he could come back after 3:00 to see if any extra vaccine was available. After changing his schedule for the day and driving 45 minutes to get to Nocona coming back was not an option. Very dissatisfied with Nocona General’s lack of preparation and lack of following their own guidelines."
