"Overall, my experience has been fantastic! I really appreciate the efficiency - I've never had to wait long periods of time, which is such a relief. There is nothing worse than being stuck at a doctor's office for hours (the main reason I switched to BKC in the first place). However, I do recommend that the front desk staff could be a bit more approachable. A smile and acknowledgment go a long way in making customers feel welcome and comfortable, especially under stress with sick kid(s). Nonetheless, I highly recommend this office for their prompt service, skills with children, and knowledge."

"Had a very unpleasant appt - my child was seen for a vax only appt , ended up having to be seen for a well child so after the appt - Rebecca one of the assistants came into our room - before giving the vaccine ; I asked her what she was administering to my child today - she proceeds to say “what you’re here for”. I said I understand that but can you confirm it ; she says again “what you came for”. I asked then to see the vaccine , she states “we don’t have time for this today ; ima go get Mary”… she left and another assistant came in ; not Mary which is the manager ; the next assistant was professional and she showed me the vaccine & had the documents I needed for daycare ; filled out and ready for us. . I spoke with Mary after the appt and expressed my concerns. Overall I feel like the practice is inconsistent, you’ll get different information every time you go ; but the doctors have always been pleasant. Dr Almasi is really quiet & straight to the point but he’s good . I prefer quick appts anyway && never have questions . The assistants need training though ; as this isn’t the first unpleasant encounter nor being told different information from each of them. & the rooms are dirty alot of the times and feel dirty if you know what I mean."

"Short version: We initially chose Dr. Almasi for his kind and knowledgeable demeanor. However, we encountered some challenges during our visits. On the first visit, we were billed for a jaundice diagnosis that had already been made at the hospital, which was later waived. On the second visit, we were again billed for jaundice diagnosis, even though the condition had cleared. Despite requesting the removal of the charge, we encountered difficulties in resolving this issue. Furthermore, Dr. Almasi expressed disapproval of a recommended treatment and was condescending towards our questions as new parents. This led us to seek a new pediatrician. Long version: We met with Dr. Almasi during pregnancy and were happy to have found him. He sounded kind, knowledgeable, caring, and experienced. During the first well visit, we mentioned that jaundice had been diagnosed during the delivery hospital stay and showed that the baby was clearly yellow. Dr. Almasi assured us that it should clear out. However, we were charged for a jaundice diagnosis, which was later waived after we explained that the diagnosis was made at the hospital and we had only informed Dr. Almasi. On the second well visit (2-week visit), there was no jaundice to discuss as it had cleared by then. When we asked Dr. Almasi if there was anything else (other than well visit) we should be aware of during that visit, he said no. However, the after-visit summary indicated a jaundice diagnosis, and we were charged again for it. Despite our request to remove the charge since there was no jaundice to diagnose, they only agreed to waive our portion of it (which was only a 10% copay). When I asked them to remove the entire charge because it was for a disease our baby didn't have, Azita said she would look into it, but I didn't hear back. I had to contact the insurance company to make them aware that they were paying for a service that was not provided. Aside from these billing issues/red flags, during the first visit, we mentioned a medical treatment recommended by a doctor at the hospital. Dr. Almasi disagreed with the care, mainly because it was expensive and not needed in his opinion, but suggested we have a consultation about it with an expert. We did the consultation and decided to proceed with the treatment. During the second visit, Dr. Almasi noticed that we had chosen to go ahead with the expensive treatment and told us that if we come to his office, we need to listen to his advice. He reminded us that he had advised against the treatment and expressed his opinion that medical colleges in this country teach business and money-making rather than care. He then stated that if we wanted to follow someone else's advice, we didn't need to come to his office. At this point, we decided to take his advice and switch pediatricians. In addition to these issues, Dr. Almasi was somewhat condescending about our questions. As new parents, we had questions about feeding and sleep, and he became frustrated with us, stating that he didn't have time to "babysit" us in our parenting. Each visit (with Dr. Almasi himself in the room) lasted about 3-5 minutes. In contrast the 1 month visit with the new Dr. lasted 25 minutes and we felt comfortable asking our questions."

"After coming here for 2 years they have continued to show me that they do care for proper customer service or professionalism. Dr. Almasi is a great doctor but his staff lacks so much knowledge and skills. It is sad that I have to leave this place. On this day, the admin assistant at the front desk did not know which vaccines my child was to get and could not provide an answer for how much the appointment would cost but instead asked me “which shots do you want her to get?” Isn’t she supposed to be on a schedule for her vaccines? Are you not reviewing your records properly? As a customer, this is frustrating especially when you are met with a lack of skills and an attitude to top it off. Poor management. She also decided to argue with me in front of management when I mentioned her tone. Be prepared to be met by a group of women who are rude and unknowledgeable. I would recommend training for basic customer services skills."

"Best Kids Care is absolutely great! I encourage anyone who needs a pediatrician to come here, you'll love the professionalism and care they treat their patients with. We've always been able to get in for appointments even when they've been full, they'd call me back and work us in some how, to me that's important. Mary, Genesis, Sandy, Lydia and everyone I can't even name are so helpful and litterally always go above and beyond figure out how to help us in any way we need. They really do treat us like family and as a single parent I appreciate that & them so much for all they've done since day 1. They are hands down the best pediatrician office We've been to and that's why we've never left. Thank you for everything."
