The Villas at Wilderness Ridge 8801 Executive Woods Drive, Lincoln, NE 68512

"We moved to this community about five months ago and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! These Villias are so much nicer compared to apartment living. The management staff are helpful. Maintenance orders have been resolved quickly. Our only compliant, would be the Heat-Pump (A/C & Heat). They seem to be delicate and require more attention then your usual HVAC setup. The thermostats that are in the units are also a bit dated. Programming your desired temps manually, four times a day (wake, leave, return, sleep) for all seven days is a pain. Hopefully traffic in the area don’t get too congested once Brynwood (Apartments) open. It seems to have a lot of units. - Overall, Happy Residents!"

"Not worth what you pay. The only outstanding part is maintenance, those guy are incredible! While my rent continues to increase, I see nothing better about my place to justify it. I loved it the first few years, and now I wish I could just get out."

"To call this luxury living is far fetched. We were not allowed to view the apartment prior to moving in even when the previous tenant had moved out, that should have been our first clue that there was something wrong with this place. There were birds nesting on our deck and there was bird poop everywhere but we were not told this until the day we picked up our keys. Even after the babies have hatched and flown away, our deck is a hot spot for the birds and we clean poop everyday but now we have just decided not to use it. This apartment was filthy. We thought the carpet was dark grey until we realized it was just very dirty. We found toenail clippings in the bedroom even though we were told the carpet was cleaned. There was thick brown gunk around the kitchen sink and faucet. The oven was sprayed with oven cleaner but not wiped off. The cabinets in the kitchen were dirty and greasy. The wood floors were dirty, it took numerous swiffer pads to get it cleaned. The bathroom had the same thick brown gunk around the sink and faucet. The caulking around the faucet had come off and water was leaking out. They came and fixed it and we couldn't use the shower for 24 hrs. There was brown filthy caulking around the toilet. The maintenance guy came by to tell us that they do not caulk the toilet, then why was there caulking there? After he pulled the caulking off, there were more dark brown smelly fluids to clean out. It took 3 calls to get management to get someone to fix thick mold in the washer. The first time they just dumped bleach in the wash and called it good. They finally changed the agitator that was filled with mold. But just like the oven, we had to clean it up. The filter was not changed. The AC was did not work and was blowing hot air. We were then given a window AC that was not connected properly and would blow hot air. When they finally fixed the AC, too much freon was dumped in and it started to blow hot air again. The AC still will not go down to temp and just runs all day and we are told this is normal even though the neighbors do not have the same problem. The garage key stopped working after a few days and was fixed, and then stopped working a few days after that. The General Manager have given us plenty of excuses from it being a busy summer to staff being on vacation. She was kind enough to offer us the option to pay our lease in full to get out of it. This all happened in the first 2 weeks, we have been here a month. We asked for a new unit and was told we needed approval and would have to pay to reapply. We had to extend our stay at our old apartment because it was 85 degrees in our luxury apartment. This is just cheap living at a premium price. Here is the update, the neighbors here are super nice and friendly. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The maintenance crew is simply amazing. And Chase in the office is a gem and always just very pleasant. And yes, our initial move was extremely disappointing and an absolute mess so we are leaving the initial review up but the staff and neighbors here are amazing."
