"Update: House of Floor has responded and fixed the issue with the transition. I've updated the rating from 2 to 4 stars. First, I would like to say the job I requested was not an easy one. I requested split color engineered hardwood floors in an open area house with my floor having already been leveled by another company. The dining area had one color wood and the living room another. The contractor that worked for House of Floors did a spectacular job. Though his work schedule was slightly odd but that is besides the point here. If I were rating the contractor he'd get 4-5 stars. Where my two star rating comes in is from the company and communication itself. The first estimate was sent god knows where. I followed up after a few weeks and lucky I did. Turns out they didn't write the e-mail address down correctly. After that snafu, I had everything ordered and scheduled without a hitch. When the work was completed, Ryan showed up and did an inspection with me. I only had one item I wanted addressed to which he responded positively and said they'd come out and fill a small gap (that was never addressed). At the end of the walk-through, Ryan stated that they guarantee their work so if something were to happen to give them a call. A few months went by and one of the transition pieces from the walk-in became unglued (there are three). I called first and was promised a follow up. Nothing. I then e-mailed. At one point I was told Ryan was out on vacation and would respond when he returned. Nothing... Subsequent e-mails have been ignored I'm guessing. At first I was patient because of the amount of work the pandemic was bringing on for these types of companies. After multiple e-mails I have surmised that I am just being ignored. Now the work was fine but if anything does go wrong this is where I'd stay away from this company. Your floors and the installation cost thousands of dollars and you want to know if a company truly stands by their work. I've had to hire another company to finish my floors because I do not believe this company will ever stand by their pledge. I hated to write such a negative review because I absolutely loved the contractor's work. It just fell flat with their communication and with such a small issue. Find another source for floor installs."

"this was done in 2018.....not enough tile was ordered in the beginning, it was incorrectly measured so that delayed one of my rooms getting done. I have had House of Floors out 3 or 4 times now because the hardwood keeps separating. I have been trying for the last 7 months to get them out to fix my floors. I have left 2 messages with the girl that answers for Ryan and he has still not called. We paid almost $7,000 for this tile. This is a horrible job. I feel at this point because it has not been fixed I should just get a refund and have someone else come and fix my floors. I have asked Ryan if there is a problem with this particular type of flooring and he says there is not. I am not sure what the problem is but I want it fixed."

"Thank you House of Floors Team! Ryan, along with the team in his office, were super helpful, patient, and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions, let us take home samples, and made sure we were comfortable with our decisions before moving forward. During the 2 days that the installers were in our home, they answered any questions that came up. In addition, they were very thoughtful/respectful of us and our home while they worked. After the job was complete, Ryan made sure that everything was to our liking before we paid the balance due. He also said that if we ever have any issues with our new floors that we are to call him. I will most definitely hire them again in the future and I've already recommended them to several people I know. Thanks again for all of your help through this process and for being the calming, reassuring voice of reason. :-)"

"I used House of Floors (via word of mouth) to do carpet tear out and install in our new house. We specifically asked if they could remove carpet on a separate visit, then install a few weeks later so that we could paint and install tile without fear of damaging carpet and since the old carpet had pet hair and we have some allergies. They graciously accommodated, even though it's not common practice. We did run into a snag the day before the install when they realized they had made an error and did not have the carpet we had chosen in stock and would not for several weeks past our scheduled move in date. It was obvious this had never happened before and they were beyond horrified. They pulled out the best carpet match they had on hand in the colors we liked, with the main change being texture and thread height, which we approved. They came, did an amazing install in one day and it works really well considering it was such a last minute change. They charged us half of what had been previously estimated AND sent us a generous Amazon gift card as a customer appreciation thank you. They handled their mistake so professionally, took great pains to make it right to the best of their ability and our timeline, and still accommodated our out of the norm request for separate install - all which speaks volumes about the company. Plus the work they did was amazing. They have my recommendation ☺️"
