"This moving crew was an absolute disaster. As mentioned in the review by Ena, I found all those same poorly trained traits in this crew. I had to train the crew how to pack or move items. For being paid by the hour, they were in rush to get things done and not done properly. They dragged furniture across the house (scratching up interior floors) and dragged across concrete and gravel. They were only supposed to move items marked with stickers and moved unmarked items and didn’t appropriately pack these items, which resulted in shattered vases. Some of the furniture went directly to my storage unit where we captured the pictures of all the damage, we also took pictures of the damage to the flooring in the house. I had paid for the insurance and we submitted a claim within the week. This move occurred in October of 2020. As we had some of our furniture sent to their storage warehouse, we were told that our insurance claim would not be processed until we had a chance to assess the damage to the items in their storage. Flash forward to a year later when we are moving into our new house and request our furniture out of their storage. Of course it arrives and there is damage to that furniture. At this point I reached out to the moving company to add to existing insurance claim, and surprise they can’t find the original claim or the pictures. Eventually they do find the original claim and pictures and now tell me I have to file another new claim for the furniture that came out of their storage. At this point, it is January 2022, I still have not received anything on the initial claim (which is thousands of dollars of damage), and nothing on the new claim. At this point, I would just like to be refunded the cost of the insurance I paid for, because I will be surprised if I get anything out of the ordeal."
"We moved across 2 states from the Rapid City area in May 2021. Using this firms employees to pack my goods required me to "teach" the individuals how to pack properly in order to reduce any damages. Even with diligent watching over the individuals who obviously had no idea how to pack goods for transport, we had significant damages to our property upon receipt of the first large truck. The remainder of our goods was shipped separately and brought to us 7 weeks after we arrived in our new home. Needless to say upon receipt of the first truck the owner of the firm who drove the truck out brought out what was a beautiful 100 year old antique spool table and stated "Well, here is the first casualty." as he brought the broken table to me. It was never wrapped in the truck. Damages continued as items were unloaded and unpacked. The second truck was worse than the first with many items just thrown into the truck and brought to us with no protection, no blanket wrapping and much damage. Filing a claim was not as simple as it seemed, as they missed items and we had to continually work with the insurance folks. They somehow did not even get the fact that we paid for full coverage with $0 deductible and wrote a check to us (which we returned) with a $500 deductible taken from the check. It took us until Mid November to get a settlement on the damages. The bottom line is their packers were never trained properly in how to put items into a moving van and we paid the price for their lack of knowledge."
"Knowledgeable | Professional | Excellent Customer Service Expertise, professionalism and excellent service made the process of receiving and storing personal belongings an easy and worry-free experience. North Western Movers was on the receiving end of an inter-state move and they handled difficult circumstances very well. In particular, Jason Severson handled the transaction between the truck driver and myself with extreme patience and professionalism. He was meticulous in his handling of the inventory and educated me on the particulars of what to expect with inter-state moves. The warehouse was clean and organized and our materials were well taken care of. I would not hesitate to recommend North Western Movers to my friends and family for their storage and moving needs."
"Northwestern Warehouse/Allied Van Lines (Mike Sherry & his crew) were very professional. They worked with me on getting the move scheduled & re-scheduled. Our move occurred early on during the pandemic & we had to delay several times due to delays on closing on our new house. He even had a plan in case something delayed the closing on our house after the truck was on the way. Mike was very flexible & accommodating. He & his crew were fantastic. I recommend them."
"Mike Sherry and the Allied team were awesome to work with! I felt he kept us informed each step of the way. We moved from Rapid City, SD to St. Louis during the pandemic. Very professional and upfront about any delays! I definitely recommend them!!"
