"I would like to share my initial experience with Aspen Ridge so others don't miss out on this complex like I almost did. As most of us do, I checked the reviews for this complex and overall it had OK reviews. My husband made us an appointment to go tour a couple different apartments and Aspen Ridge was last on my list. Let me tell you how wrong I was. After going to two other apartments and being disappointed in how we were treated, we arrived at Aspen Ridge and were immediately greeted with a friendly "welcome" from Johana at her desk. We were shown a wonderful two bedroom that we ended up applying for. We came back the next day to see the apartment again and met Katie who let us look at the apartment again. She was wonderful and helped answer our many questions. The reason we leased there was because how we were treated and how nice the workers in the office were. Since moving in, we have met some of the maintenance guys and were just as impressed with our interactions with them. We have nothing bad to say at this time and will update our review if that changes. Really great customer service from everyone we have met."
"I can’t warn you enough to NOT RENT from this complex!!! This was the worst renting experience I’ve had in my life! The property is managed horribly… dog feces all over the grass and bird feces on the railings. Garbage all around the dumpsters. It took them 4 months to change a light bulb in the laundry room and over a week to change the light in the kitchen. I couldn’t even cook because I couldn’t see without the light. I had to make several calls to the office to finally get it changed. The light fixtures are so old we were afraid to do it ourselves. You can’t even use the pool because it’s only heated to keep the pipes from breaking. If you do use the pool it’d better be a 100 degree day or you’ll freeze. The water was so cold I thought I was going to get hypothermia! Ridiculous! Then at the end of the lease they kept our deposit. We returned all the keys and got a note from their rep saying we returned all keys. Then they lie and come up with a bogus photo saying we didn’t return the gym keys! They charged us for cleaning the carpet and in the state of CO they can’t charge for that. We cleaned the apartment including the carpet but they refused to return our deposit! The management is corrupt, liars and thieves! DON’T RENT HERE EVEN IF YOUR DESPERATE!!!!"
"Aspen Ridge is no different than your average apartment complex. Newly repaved parking lots, even the holes have been kept and repaved. What's groundskeeping? Areas are littered with trash and stairwells are never cleaned/powerwashed. The maintenance team appears to be consistently changing, and likely understaffed. Not sure why the retention issue in this area. Communication within the front office staff is mediocre at best (Kramer appears to be the only one that knows what's going on). Like reliable internet? Well, you get a solid and very disappointing team with CenturyLink and you have no other choice, but let's not get started on CenturyLink support as we don't have negative stars for this review. Join us at Aspen Ridge, where average appears to be the standard! Edit: I recently moved away from this property. During a holiday weekend on a Saturday, I discovered the community pool was open but the water was visibly unclean, suggesting a malfunctioning filter. This was early on a Saturday morning as soon as the pool had opened. Excited for pool time, my son and I approached the front office for assistance. The response was dismissive, informing us that since it wasn’t an urgent maintenance issue, it would not be addressed until Monday... no pool for the weekend. This meant that an amenity included in our rent was unavailable for use. Additionally, there was no prior notification about the pool's condition; we only received an email the next day stating its closure until further notice. Another concern was a broken step leading to our apartment, posing a safety hazard. Despite reporting it, it remained unrepaired even when I moved out. A recent policy mandates including internet service in the rent. This is pigeon holes residents who prefer alternative providers, such as Verizon 5G. The forced provider was Xfinity when I left, which may not align with residents' preferences or needs. On a positive note, the move-out process was unexpectedly efficient, largely thanks to Cramer’s assistance at the front office—a contrast to the usual indifferent or unhelpful attitude of other staff members. Regrettably, based on my experiences, I cannot recommend living here."
"The 3 year's I lived at this apartment it's gone down hill. The hallways are filthy, my neighbors throw they're cigarettes in front of my door, children playing in the hallway, car was broken into had to get a garage, neighbors upstairs the music and children are so loud it shakes the walls. My fireplace hasn't worked in 3 months it had a leak and the fire department had to shut off and no one has came to fix it. There's mess from people not cleaning up after their dogs. You have to be careful where you walk on the grass or sidewalk. Don't really know what's going on but to many problems with the apartments now. It use to be really nice but lately not pleasant at all. The children run around in the parking lot damaging cars and property. Parents are not watching they're children. Seen qiut a few people move out. Not signing another lease."
"Overall, Aspen Ridge is a decent option. I lived there for 15 months and here are my takeaways: TL,DR: staff are fantastic, apartments are nice, fellow residents can be disrespectful, common areas & outdoors are often littered with trash and glass. Pros: - Leasing office staff are great. Good communication skills and friendly. - Maintenance staff are fantastic. Quick to respond to requests, accommodating, and helpful. - Units generally get lots of natural light and have good floor plans. Cons: - Windows are terribly insulated. Heating and AC bills may be higher than expected. - My unit was not up to date (older cabinets, vinyl counters) and rent was going to be increased > 15% if I had stayed. - Lots of trash in common areas, shared amenities, & outdoors. Lots of residents are very careless and disrespectful on this front. - Glass outside and in parking lots. Often found beer bottles laying around and/or shattered. - Many dog owners do not pickup after their dogs and leave them on their balconies for extended periods of times. They can be quite loud and one should be very cautious walking through any grass patch. - Kids playing in the parking lot can be careless and destructive. My car was dented by kids throwing rocks in the parking lot (I was on my balcony when it happened). - Pool closures not uncommon during peak season. Pool area grills needed to be fixed. - Community fees are relatively high (~$120/mo for 1 person in a 1 BR)."
