"We have lived at the Kabin for just under ten months and have nothing but good things to say about it. The building is kept very clean, the unit is quiet, the neighbors are friendly and the apartment is efficient and has enough space for all of our belongings. Plenty of parking, a designated dog area, great gym and a restaurant/bar on the campus is an added bonus. We had a minor maintenance issue that was repaired quickly and correctly, Karen and the team at Habitat seem genuinely committed to providing a pleasant place to live."
"Karin with property management is a tremendous person. My lease is ending in mid April and my family went through a very big loss and I’m still dealing with legal issues regarding that loss and Karin has offered to personally check in on my place since I’ll be moving out over the course of the monthit’s been hectic but I know that management does genuinely care. It’s easy to get frustrated with them but they are very personable and they want the property to be as amazing as it has been for me."
"Since Karen joined the Habitat team, she has gone above and beyond to listen to tenants and make noticeable improvements to processes and communication. Most everything can now be done through the online portal, but there are multiple channels to interact with the team now (including texting and calling), whereas before, it felt only possible to get in touch via a work order on the portal. We are always well informed of what's going on in the community and maintenance is friendly and quick to assist. Things I love about the location: 1) The units are simple and compact, but they feel open because of the tall ceilings. It's perfect for a single person and a small pet. 2) It's walkable to a lot of nightlife, but not so close that crowds are problematic when you want a bit of space. 3) The free parking spots alone are valuable in Denver. It's a delight to be able to have guests and not worry about them looking for street parking. 4) The garage door makes the front side of the building a dream for thriving plants. It also opens up the small space. 5) Coffee shop and restaurant on property as well as a few other convenient businesses in the Taxi location. 6) NEW gym 7) Dog parks 8) Generally a very friendly community of neighbors 9) super quick access to highways 70 and 25. Things I'm not totally in love with: 1) While the open space vibe is really nice when the weather allows, it's difficult to take advantage because there tends to be a fair amount of flies from the drainage area in front of the building (or perhaps partially due to #3 below) 2) From apartment to apartment, the sound barrier is pretty good, but what happens in the hallway tends to sound like it is in your unit. Not usually a problem unless you have an inconsiderate neighbor. 3) Not a lot of dog leashing going on, which tends to go hand in hand with not cleaning up after pets. Although it does seem that they regularly have cleanup efforts on the property by a third party. 4) Security... not amazing, but definitely nice to have a presence. All in all, I would definitely recommend!"
"I recently moved in after a 4 day road trip from my hometown. I signed the lease before ever seeing the apartment, and the entire process was simple and straightforward. Karen and the other staff at Habitat have been so helpful throughout the stressful process of moving across the country. When we finally arrived I was not disappointed. There are of course going to be pros and cons of any living space, but for myself the pros of Kabin far outweigh the cons. Cons: Lots of construction downtown that can occasionally delay your drive. I’m starting to learn the back roads to be able to avoid this. There is a beeping alarm in the lobby nearly every day. This is probably annoying for anyone living near the lobby but I’m far enough away I can’t hear it unless I go into the hallway. Occasionally you can smell the dog food from the Purina factory, but this doesn’t bother me personally. There are no drawers in the kitchen so I’ll be getting creative with how I’ll be storing my utensils! No patio on any floor besides the 1st, but you still get the cool garage window that opens. Pros: No outrageous & surprising moving fees! There is coffee and food in walking distance within the taxi campus. The prices are extremely reasonable and so far everything has been delicious! The gym looks so nice and I’m looking forward to going there to work out. There is a feeling of community. I haven’t met any neighbors yet, but there are so many events happening and I’m looking forward to connecting with people. So much storage space! I got rid of a lot of things thinking there wouldn’t be room, but the closets are bigger than I expected! The Habitat staff are so friendly and welcoming! There are peg boards in every building where neighbors post about events and small businesses (like dog walking and tattoos). The two bedroom is bigger than expected! The open concept makes it feel big and the bathroom is 3x the size of my bathroom in my last apartment which barely had room to stand in. I’m genuinely so happy I moved here and am looking forward to all the opportunities that will come from living in this community."
"Smoothest renting experience I've had. Leasing was quick and easy. The building is new so we've seen very few issues but maintenance has come next day for all issues. Free parking is very much appreciated. I wouldn't say anything will blow you away but this is the model of what all leasing should be. No surprises, responsive, transparent. If I had to nitpick the white kitchen counter material is terrible and the bugs make it hard to use the garage window but that can be solved easily with a net."
