"Was good before it was bought now it's being run-over by drug addicts there's no parking for people who live here and pay rent the pool isn't fixed the laundry rooms aren't clean and don't work anymore it's just a joke and now they raise our rent to pay for cosmetic repairs when they need to fix the people they are letting move in they are stealing cars breaking into them leaving trash all over the place"
"Avoid at any cost. Was fine for the last 4 years but became unlivable after current owners took over. Any complaint from lack of parking to unruly children was met with "we cant really do anything"."
"I am a long time resident of 11 years at the Pines apartments in Lakewood Co. If you are looking for a new home, I highly recommend The Pines. Let me tell you a little bit about this property. It was built in the 70s and has been beautifully maintained. Because it was built in the 70s, the bedrooms and living rooms are a little bit larger. Some have patios and some have cathedral ceilings and fireplaces. The pool area is beautifully maintained and landscaped with hanging baskets of flowers and there is a baby pool. But the property is only as good as it is managed and maintained. I can personally say that management is very attuned to the needs of the residents here. I’ve seen it again and again and have heard it from other long time residents. If there is a problem, the Pines management team takes it seriously and does their best to remidy the situation cheerfully, professionally and quickly. An important addition to why The Pines looks so beautiful is that they have a seriously professional maintenance team that is on the spot when things need attention, yet these fellows always take the time for a quick hello. À fellow, who’s name is Sam, I think, has been here the longest and really knows the property and looks to be in constant motion keeping things beautiful and safe. I know this sounds too good to be true, but stop by and have a look for your self. Talk to the residents and see how nice the grounds are. As I had mentioned, I have been here for 11 years now and have no plans to relocate. A contented Pines resident."
"Hoping to get a professional response in regards to my experience with this property. Went and toured this place around the 1st of APRIL. Initial visit was good, I explained that I need a place urgently and have been looking at a lot of places. Put the $100 deposit down to hold the apartment through the move-in process and completed the application. I also submitted paperwork from my new employer since I am starting a new job, which included start date, salary and onboarding info all on official letterhead and verified by the HR rep. This was on a Wednesday. Was told it takes a day or TWO to process and I’d be good to move in on Monday. Received a call from the property manager, Kelly, I believe was her name.. on Friday saying I needed Proof of Employment sent from the company as the forms I submitted weren’t acceptable. She mentioned she reached out to the HR Dept twice and was waiting for a response. I contacted HR as well and waited for a response as well. In the meantime, THREE weeks had passed and I did not receive any follow up. I called to touch base and was told they’re still waiting. Wasn’t given any other info. I finally went in pick up the deposit I had left because honestly, the lack of professionalism and sense of urgency just didn’t sit well with me. NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD… when I asked for my deposit I was told by the leasing agent, Danielle is her name I believe… that I was approved but they were still waiting for verification of employment and because I was approved, if I cancelled then I forfeit my deposit. Hmmm… now let’s add LACK OF COMMUNICATION to the list. So I then asked if they couldn’t verify my employment then would I be declined? She had to ask the property manager this question. The property manager said she needed to call a peer or her supervisor (not sure who) but proceeded to make this phone call ON SPEAKERPHONE with her door open. I listened to the entire conversation… the individual on the other line asking the property manager if she received verification. The property manager saying NO. The other person saying then there’s no way she should approve me. When the conversation ended the Property Manager told me I was declined and I would be refunded my deposit. She said the funds had been deposited but she said I would receive the refund via a check in the mail. I was ok with this and gave her the address to send the check to. She said I could re-apply in 3 months. Sure thing! Well after being declined it was back to finding a place. And I did so. Using the exact same documents that I gave this place and was approved. The next day I received a call from Danielle saying that they received verification and when did I want to move in. I let her know that since I was told the PREVIOUS day I was declined that I had found another place but thank you. She then said that if I am canceling my move-in that I will not receive a refund for the Holding Deposit. I asked her if she recalled the scenario from the previous day since she was there and also heard the Property Manager tell me I was DECLINED. All she said was that since I was approved then I am not entitled to a refund. I asked her to do the right thing and her response was that it would have to be approved by the company. I’m hoping that I don’t have to go any further than this for a resolution. I’m not sure how an individual in customer service doesn’t get the point of what I’m saying. It’s been a week and I have not heard anything from the leasing agent or the property manager which doesn’t surprise me. Again… I look forward to some sort of response. Thank You!"
"This place used to be great, with a great management and maintenance team. Recently the apartments were sold to another management company. It's gone down hill since. Our trash is always over flowing. Parking is no longer private. Our walkways barely get shoveled. Lots do not get plowed anymore. We've had a layer of ice since the last snow fall so thick it causes damage to one's vehicle when driving over it. My appliances are going out, and I can't seem to get my calls answered when calling to make a work order for it. But they had the audacity to raise our rents. I'm giving 2 stars because the apartments themselves are still nice. Who knows how long that will last."
