Reviews
"They were late on check in and did not even apologize, got to the hotel and saw that the stairs you climb are exterior grated RUSTED METAL steep stairs and no where that I could find was it mentioned that these stairs were exterior. Hauling gear is not fun. I refused the room. Pre -Payment with no refunds. If they showed the entrance on the website you certainly would think TWICE. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Here is a photo to decide for yourself."
"We went in the winter we like to help out the small town economy during the winter. Hotel Great. Views Great. Parking is terrible. Side Streets parking terrible and very easy to get stuck due to the unplowed streets … parked on main street closer to the hotel and got a $150 parking ticket. Not $25 or $75 … $150 . Will Not be back!"
"We had the most amazing stay at the Imogene! Such unique, beautiful rooms in downtown Ouray. They were so kind and upgraded our room for our engagement! We will definitely be coming again!"
"I feel I need to start this review with a caveat, my wife and I have come here on several occasions and were always extremely impressed. This last visit unfortunately fell short of the mark. The hotel has a great location on Main Street and is surrounded by restaurants and shops as well as being close to box Canyon and more than a few great hikes. There were a few small problems with our room, some very shabby burlap bag type curtains and broken blinds, suspect water pressure in the shower and a very noisy air conditioning unit that sounded like it was on the verge of exploding most of the night… these may seem like small inconsequential complaints but at this price point I think the customer expects more, I know that we do. The last time the staff was present during the day and at odd times in the evening if we needed some thing, this time there was no one to be found and I never even met a single staff member other than a bartender. There was a small mini fridge and microwave shoved under the stairway to the rooftop bar for patrons to use but I felt uncomfortable leaving medication in a common area fridge. Lastly the only way to acquire ice was to go up to the rooftop bar during their hours of operation… which closes at 8:30 during the week. The rooftop bar used to be a very happening cool place to enjoy appetizers and drinks but we found out this time due to staffing issues apparently they only do food on the weekends… I couldn’t find anything about that on the website which has a link to their menu but nothing listed.? This place has a ton going for it and the bartender bless her heart was awesome but I think they are missing the mark. I’m sure staffing issues are real and I know running a business presents many unforeseen problems but the place used to run like a Swiss watch and now it seems like the customer and their experience is not very important to the new owners and management. So there you have it, there are some small hiccups and some issues that need to be dealt with but in summation we still enjoy coming here and hope these things will be dealt with and addressed. I would love to see this place be everything that it could be. Customer service seems to be something that is lacking in many of the establishments in this small mountain town. I can only hope That the business owners and workers understand tourists while they can be bothersome, are needed for this small community to thrive."
"We loved our stay at the Imogene for our anniversary. The rooms are small but beautiful and had what we needed and the bed was super comfortable. We loved the beautiful bathroom although one of our sinks was not draining well. Location is great, we loved having a private entrance in the back. It was a bummer not having the option to sauna! We’ve been cold here in September and would have loved it. All in all, we’ve really appreciated the location, comfortable room, and modern interiors."
