"Gorgeous hotel and absolutely worth visiting and learning about the history. We didn’t stay at the hotel but were excited to do the ghost tour. So really this is more of a review for the ghost tour portion and brief dining experience. The comment below I believe she was in our tour as well.. Let me begin with the good: the tour guide was great and enjoyed his story telling along with learning a bit of history and seeing some spaces we didn’t get normal access too. The let downs: the tour itself is a big let down for the price you pay. You don’t even get to tour the actual hotel because of guests I suppose..and we also weren’t able to do any ghost exploring either. It’s only an hour long and not much time for the money. I think the hotel should really revamp their entire ghost tours experience. — Cascades Dining: What a disappointment for the money as well. Skip it and go somewhere else. Overall, we’d like to come back to take a full history tour and MAYBE stay in one of the “spooky” rooms after the ghost tour and dining let downs.. hence the 3 stars. The staff were wonderful and so helpful but some of our other experiences weren’t the best. I also tossed in a star because the views were stunning from the hotel and main area is beautiful."

"Great experience. Staff were very kind and helpful. We needed an extra blanket, and they brought it to our room. They have 3 types of tours and we ended up doing the night tour. We also ate at the Post and Brunch and Co. both had great service. I will say our room was recently renovated, which was a nice touch. However, since Stanley is a very old building, you can hear quite a bit through doors and walls. I wish the rooms would of had fridges in them so we could heat up left overs from our dinner. Overall we enjoyed our stay."

"Husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend back in November and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. Took The Shining Tour, our tour guide was informative, funny, and professional as he guided us through the tour; if you stay, please consider taking at least one of the tours, we regret not taking the other choices as well. Also the hotel is historical and although certain things aren't for modern means, it wasn't a deal breaker. Rooms were comfortable and views were gorgeous! We would love to come back in the future!"

"The staff are respectful and not intrusive to guests which adds to the exquisite nature of the building itself. The new renovations are more than perfect the designers really did an excellent job while keeping the historical part alive. The ceiling in the violin wine bar has to be one of the most gorgeous parts of the hotel silver nearly mirror like with violins floating above the bar itself. The dark red wood trim scattered all along most of the interiors inside completely restored to its original beauty so impressive. The rooms have been updated the bathrooms are gorgeous. The restaurant is amazing and the Stanley's coffee shop makes the truffles downtown. The pavilion had a wedding going on and I couldn't imagine a more beautiful place to get married with a gorgeous clear pond in the background gorgeous mountains and wildlife. Amazing job with the renovations"

"I had a wonderful stay at the Stanley Hotel, a historic and charming place that offers stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which had a variety of options to suit different tastes. The hotel also has a lot of activities and amenities to keep you entertained, such as a rooftop terrace, a coffee shop, a boating area, and a hiking trail. The hotel is also famous for its paranormal activity, which adds to the thrill and excitement of staying there. I took the ghost tour, which was very informative and fun. I even saw some orbs and heard some noises in the fourth floor, where Stephen King wrote his novel The Shining. I highly recommend the Stanley Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and unique experience in Estes Park."
