"Awesome camping area in Ridgway State Park. Great access to the Uncompahgre River, Pa-Co-Chu-Puk fishing ponds, and reservoir. So much outdoor recreation out here. There are some great hiking trails throughout the park, and we saw a blue Heron along the River Trail. Beautiful area, no matter where you go in this park!"
"Everything is self service but very user friendly. Laundry was clean, machines worked perfectly. Campground is extremely well taken care of. 15 minutes from Ridgway."
"Gorgeous scenery but over crowded for the first week of October. The fishing is great if you don't mind someone around every corner. The Uncompahgre has been on my list for a long time. I can check it off my list."
"Everything that a camper needs. Price was good must do reservations. The tent sites are remote but they PROVIDE you a CART to wheel it out to your sites. PLUS the bathrooms are very clean. Potable water is available and a Fish wash off station is there to. The river is so nice."
"Very nice & well maintained state park. Lots are all pull through & great for big rigs. Sites are concrete & nice & level. Many sites are full hook-ups. There is a very nice laundry facility that is clean & has a nice large folding area. Prices are $2 to wash & $1.50 to dry. There is a small play area for children & the pavement is nice & level for children to ride bikes or skate. The showers are clean & bathrooms are nice & tidy. However the water reducing is just that… “reducing” and such a small amount that is almost impossible to wash your hair. We opted to not use the bath house & use our shower in our RV. I was very disappointed.. it was like standing under a fast drip water hose. Note… I did check the other shower stalls & all the showers were the same. For handicap folks there is a nice large stall with a wand available & a large sitting area as well. The water is a slight bit more but only SLIGHT."
