"I wish I could give 0 stars! My loving husband wanted to surprise us with a family get away so we could go to the cheyenne mountain zoo, and booked this la quinta by mistake thinking it was the location closer to the zoo, so we say oh no big deal. But then we walked in the room....and that's when I knew we couldn't stay here. Immediately we could smell some sort of chemical smell (possibly cleaner? But I'm not sure) I Immediately went to check the bed, fearing bed bugs, I removed the stained sheets to reveal the mattress cover was completely covered in dog hair, crumbs, stains and who knows what, I peeled back the disgusting cover to look at the equally disgusting mattress but perhaps worse? Because there were small black debris that I wasn't going to touch to find out what they were. I was too horrified and disgusted to even guess. My husband seeing I was upset called the front desk to see what could be done about this. They said they'd send housekeeping in about 20 minutes to change out the bedding, they arrived in 10 (so for that alone I do appreciate the urgency) after that we stepped out to go grab some dinner to bring back to the room; but on our way out and when we came back we noticed either homeless or sketchy characters walking about the parking lot. I told my husband I didn't have a good feeling about this place, and that I didn't feel safe staying the night here with our little one, so we booked a different hotel and left. If you think you're saving a buck by staying here I suggest just springing for a nicer hotel for the peace of mind. My skin is still crawling from the state of this mattress."

"This place was good but it has the potential to be a lot better. Was not given a late check-out which is 11:30am. Regular check out is 11am. This was after staying 3 days. My girl was gone to the emergency room with a friend after a vehicle wreck. The staff attitude could be better not that it was bad but it wasn't good. The continental breakfast is outstanding. Location is among the best. All your shopping needs are very close. Never felt like my safety was at risk. Rooms could use a little TLC. But it's a great deal for your dollar..."

"While checking in all they needed was the $100 hold, so they said. They never even put a $100 hold on the card. Instead they took out 2 payments that I didn't ok, since I already prepaid in the room. I heard four different people saying they got overcharged but they will reimburse it. I heard that and that wasn't a thing. The last time I went to the desk about this they said that they didn't see the payment. Even though it said La Quinta inn billed and received. I ended up paying $1,700 for a trashy hotel and the bathroom is where black mold came to survive. If they ask for this be weary. As soon as that hold is taken you will be billed twice."

"The room was absolutely disgusting. Booked two nights, barely made it through the first one. The gunshots in the middle of the night should have been enough to make us leave. The lousy breakfast and service sealed the departure. Still haven't refunded our deposit, and for some reason, they are still trying to withdraw money from my card two days later. We requested a refund from priceline for the night we didn't stay. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The location was good for sightseeing."

"We stayed there for 7 days while wsitingnfor our apartment to becone ready. At first everyone was very friendly but after about the 2nd day. Staff became rude and hateful.. we asked to change our bedsheets after being there for 4 days and they flat out told us NO! We would give them our towels to exchnge for clean ones and they wouldnt give us any in exchange. So we had no towels the last 2 days there.. then when i asked to extend our stay the lady told me i had to make a whole new reservation which required a new deposit which i didnt have in which she quickly told me that i then had 20 mins to "get my stuff and get out!" So i asked for my receipts.. which she took her time to print out then followed up with "now you have about 10-15 mins to get out, my housekeepers gotta clean that room" so i frantically went back to my room to start packing ,mind you we had been there for 7 days and was planning on staying a few more so nothing was packed.. while i was trying to hurry and pack the cleaners and front desk kept trying to come in..the experience terrified my 9yr old son to the point he was having a panic attack crying. They had ZERO concern as to what they were doing. It was a traumatic experience for my son. I was EXTREMELY upset and disappointed with how badly we were treated especially after being there for the past 7 days. Shame on the front desk lady for behaving so rude and unprofessional!! We wont stay there ever again!!"
