Reviews of Costco Wholesale
"You just can't go wrong with Costco. From the rotisserie chicken, to the baked goods, pre packed meals, clothes, cheap gas, and electronics. Not to mention their amazing return policy. When it is busy it's a bit rough finding parking and maneuvering around the parking lot. Overall it's a great place to shop and save!"
"On February 16, 2022, I invested in a set of Michelin Defender T+H tires from the Costco Tire Center located in Colorado Springs, C.O. At the time of purchase, my vehicle's odometer read 84,035 miles. These tires served me until I was compelled to acquire a complete new set from Discount Tire on January 27, 2024, when my vehicle had accumulated 117,367 miles. Surprisingly, the tires obtained from Costco had only covered 33,332 miles, despite being rated for a lifespan of 80,000 miles. Considering the remaining mileage supposed to be around 46,668, it's evident that the tires fell significantly short of their expected lifespan. Disappointingly, my attempts to address this premature wear with both my local Costco Tire Center and Costco corporate were met with no resolution. Their response required tires to exhibit even wear across all four bars, down to 2/32 of an inch, to qualify for assistance. Yet, upon consulting Discount Tire, it was confirmed that all four tires only had 3/32 of tread left, barely above South Dakota's legal minimum requirement. This situation poses a serious safety concern, as driving on tires with such minimal tread is risky, especially considering adverse road conditions. The disregard for safety concerns in favor of strict warranty criteria is disheartening. Costco's stance is a form of corporate bullying, forcing consumers to navigate a labyrinth of obstacles to address what should be a straightforward warranty issue. The priority should always be ensuring customer safety and satisfaction over mere cost-saving measures. In conclusion, my experience with Michelin Defender T+H tires from Costco has been unsatisfactory due to their premature wear and the lack of adequate support from the company. I would advise caution to other consumers considering Costco for their tire needs, as their after-sales service falls short of expectations."
"Barnes location is my favorite, even when sitting in line at their gas pumps. From a reliable source in the oil industry, they put Costco gas in their own cars, and that's what I put in mine. Today I came to Costco to pick up two pairs of prescription glasses, regular AND sunglasses. I'd say it's worth the membership! Years ago, I paid DOUBLE, and that was WITH insurance. (Eye Clinic at Evans Army Hospital definitely didn't steer me wrong about getting glasses at Costco!) My suggestion is to take pictures in front of mirror of glasses you're trying on, then picture of frame with item number, and repeat it for all the frames you like. It makes it easier to narrow down. When you've made your choices, you can literally walk to the counter and they will get frames from your picture and get you set up with your prescription. It couldn't be easier. *They carry Ray Ban and Oakley frames. Selection is good on many other categories and types of products."
"This Costco location is pretty good. Unlike the Nevada location they do not have a liquor store or section anymore. But parking is a breeze at this location, and has plenty of entrances and exits. I always recommend going to Costco around 1-2 hours before they close for the best experience. But on weekends expect it to be a zoo. They have a great selection here, and it is usually different products than the Nevada location. Everything is usually clean and customer service is great."
"My mother and I felt very disrespected at this Costco. To start off, I had to get my photo taken for my membership, and the lady taking the photo didn’t tell me she was already taking the picture. So, great to know I have a Costco membership card with my eyes closed. Great. Secondly, we were getting ready to checkout, and Maribel, who was our cashier kept asking my mother if she had a Costco membership. We had two carts and I told her and the gentlemen with her that she was with me. I told both of them we were going to pay for both carts together under my membership card, but Maribel kept asking my mother for the card. I repeatedly had to tell her that we were paying together until she finally understood what I was saying. Afterwards, the gentleman with her coldly told us he wasn’t going to help us put any of our items up on the checkout counter and that we would have to do it ourselves. This was such a weird comment towards us because I never asked for him to help us put anything up at the counter. The two of them then proceeded to huddle down towards our first cart and talk badly about my mother and I. Maybe they were both having an off day. Whatever the case is, my mother and I will surely not return to this Costco. The manager was nice, but honestly didn’t seem to care about our experience."
