"Well first time going to this place and last time. Customer service sucks, walked in to three ladies behind the counter talking, I said hi and they all completely ignored it. Kept on talking and ignoring me. Anyways walked to the gun section and looked around not too busy but too busy for any employee to come ask if I needed help. Literally there were numerous employees behind the counter and walking around not one said honor can I help. One last thing the prices on the weapons are ridiculously high, I am all about supporting local shops but F these guys. I will be taking my money to “right to bear arms” or another local shop."
"I'm probably wasting my time BUT. I have been a long time customer, born and raised in the north valleys. I have always had a great experience with the staff and products. I've purchased many items from fishing equipment to snow shoes. Also bought firearms. Spent I'm guessing easily 10+thousand dollars over my adult life. And the last time I went in to purchase a Christmas gift for my wife, unfortunately will probably be the last time I buy anything there...? I ordinarily don't get bent out of shape over sales people, this time I attempted to buy a ruger 10/22. It's an inexpensive .22 plinking rifle that my wife has wanted for a while. The short chubby bald sales guy who I've seen for years but never personally bought anything from told me he didn't have the color combo she liked in stock. (Ok, no big deal.)So he said he would check online for me to see if we could get it by Christmas.( Ok, great.) So I continued shopping. I was browsing through the firearms section, patiently waiting for the answer. He helped another customer look at a gun.( No biggie) he helped a second customer. (Now I'm wondering if he's still interested in helping me?) I stop browsing and stand near the counter out of the way of other shoppers but in the front and in plain view. Here is the point that I realized I'm wasting my time. He helps another person... The rifle I wanted was apparently not worth his effort and time. They are usually busy so I can be patient. And the old guy I ordinarily deal with was busy complaining about the covid vaccine with another old guy, so. I guess what I'm trying to get at is it doesn't really feel like it has previously? Meaning it used to be a local shop that values your business and time. I wasn't looking for something expensive. But my time is just as valuable as anyone. I was waiting for approximately 30min. And when I was leaving he was helping another customer. So, I made my purchase elsewhere. I had to order the rifle and it should be here for Christmas luckily. I bought it at another locally owned store because that's what I like to do if possible."
"I can't say enough good things about MFS! First of all they have a massive inventory with a wide variety of guns, ammo, fishing equipment and much more! Knowledegable, friendly, and very helpful staff. I will gladly pay a little more for their product and support a family owned business. Shopping at big-box sporting good stores can be mind numbing, ranging from weak advice, and up-selling from not-very knowlegeable low-paid unfriendly employees. I will continue to do business at Mark Fore Strike :)"
"Discovered Mark Fore and Strike a few months ago and met "Skinny" in the fishing dept. He has been a great help getting fly fishing equipment and advice for Truckee River and Pyramid Lake. Today's acquisition - a G.Loomis IMX-Pro Euro fly rod and Redington Tilt Euro reel..."
"Wow! This place is amazing. They have everything. I went in looking at metal detectors. They carry whites metal detectors and have a great selection. They also have a vast selection of fishing and hunting. I could have spent hours in here. I found what I was looking for and was very happy with the service and the professionalism of the staff. Dave and Marty the owners are awesome. This is a family run business and I highly recommend visiting here for all your outdoor needs."
