"Great place to look for outdoor sport equipment. Price is not as competitive as Amazon online sometimes but prices can be the same. For instance while I was researching for nikwax, the bottles were priced the same, when I went to purchase the bottles I needed, Amazon provided a combo that lowered the price by $10. It was a sponsored listing so not necessarily Amazon's fault.. Employees were helpful when I needed help. Attentive when needed. One employee even offered to bring my bottles to the front while I continued to shop. Good experience so far from this location as well as other locations I have visited."

"I found everything I needed very easily, and the cashier up front was very nice and did an excellent job helping to answer all my questions! However, the manager kept looking over the shoulder of the employee who was checking me out. He stared so hard at the them and what they were doing it made me think I was doing something wrong. At least this time I wasn’t hounded about getting a membership like every other time I go in."

"Tried to return kayak that was used only for 3hrs, their manager (Jenna or Jenny) refused it because it had "scratches on the bottom" and suggested I drive to REI in Sacramento or LA to return it. I took it to LA REI, they said it looks brand new, refunded the item in 2 minutes. The Reno store does a real damage to REI brand, if this was the only REI store I would never buy anything from the company."

"Erik who works in footwear was exceptional! I just told him what I was looking for in a sock. He found even more of them than I thought! Store has many other things too, like a bike shop and climbing gear."
